Recommended Companies & Suppliers
Due to the lack of acknowledgement from some more unscrupulous companies that 3' and 4' hutches are simply not suitable for a rabbit to be housed in it can be an absolute minefield trying to find suppliers of spacious, well designed and sturdy accomodation. There is also the added complication of the wide variety of housing that is now available, see here.
To aid members in making a good choice of supplier for their rabbits living quarters we would like to compile a list of recommended suppliers here, Ideally avoiding any pet stores which choose to sell rabbits. Please do not use this thread to 'name and shame' companies you have had bad experiences with, such comments will have to be removed for legal reasons.

We recommend:
- That you search eBay! Whilst you may be buying from a private individual you can check each sellers personal feedback score to see how reputable they are. Only buy from sellers with a high level of positive feedback and if at all possible pay for your purchase using PayPal, this offers you more protection against fraud or mis-sellng
- Try your local Freecycle group. People are often offering old hutches free for collection in your local area but you need to be quick off the mark as they are often snapped up in minutes. Always be polite when responding to Freecycle adverts and do not try to emotionally blackmail the person offering the hutch, blackmail and rudeness are the top reasons why Freecyclers refuse to give up an item.
If you are buying a second hand hutch be sure to read this hygiene information here - The Happy Hutch Company. We have had excellent reviews of this companies products, especially for their sizes, design and the quality of the build. Their products can be viewed on their site here: http://www.happyhutch.co.uk/ but they also sell discounted items on eBay regularly.

I would thoroughly recommend Zooplus. I bought an indoor cage from there and it was delivered really quickly (from Germany) and it was cheaper than anywhere else I'd seen the same cage. I've also bought pens from them and they're really useful - brilliant for bunny-proofing as well as being used as pens - I have one all round the bed to stop Bell and T from getting under the bed (though I have to be careful getting in and out of bed as it's slightly higher than the sides of the bed ).

Re: Recommended Companies & Suppliers
My new Ryedale hutch (www.rehutches.com) arrived this morning - I ordered one after seeing Gisela's last week and am very impressed with the quality. It is much more pricey than the Happyhutch but I think it is also much better quality so horses for courses I guess..I had heard someone else say they weren't happy with the ramps but mine are fine.
They make everything to order so are very happy to make any modifications/size adjustments you wish. I had some additional doors put on the ends of the 'run' on mine, for just a tenner each. It means I can have an additional run on the side instead of the front, which makes the actual hutch much more accessible.
They arrive fully assembled so much more robust and much less faffing about although this does mean you need to have a wide enough entrance to carry it through assembled and they are exceptionally heavy! Delivery is early Sunday mornings (mine was 4.30am!) but don't worry, they don't wake you up

****WIRE GRID STORAGE CUBES**** (Also called C&C cubes, NIC cubes)
For anyone that wants to make these condos/mansions etc. Follow the link below to go to a store called 'Kreshays'. They used to be much easier to get hold of but it seems as soon as people started to make rabbit homes out of them they stopped selling them and anyone that did sell them doubled the price! They do sell them on eBay and amazon through a seller but they charge a high P&P charge PER box and as you'll need more than one box it'll be very pricey.
Anyway here's the link:) :

The-rabbit-hutch-shop
I can't recommend this company personally, but their standard rabbit hutches are all 6ft 5" x 2ft 5", (they do have larger) anything smaller is classed for Guinea pigs.
The reviews are very good too. They have a lot of offers on at the mo.

ETA: The owner, Tom also appears in this article by the RWAF clicky
Also Ryedale pet homes http://www.rehutches.com/rabbit-hutches-for-sale.php

Re: Recommended Companies & Suppliers
I've just found this new page on the Happy Hutch website
http://www.happyhutch.co.uk/details.php?product=164
Hutches
6ft by 2.5 ft x 2.5 ft or
6ft x 2.5 x 3 or
6ft x 3 x 3.
That's amazing, I'm so pleased to see this. I've been contemplating making my own with a floor space of 2.5 or 3ft but it's fantastic to see HH now do these

Re: Recommended Companies & Suppliers
My boys have some of the runaround system and love it, they have a pipe and the bridge that joins 2 runs together and a mesh chatting wall. The company have been lovely and gave a great service and I would recommend them.
