I've learnt a lot today.

Things I am not allowed to do if I want Santa Paws to come tonight:

1) get under Humum's feet

2) thunder up and down stairs

3) tease Mummy and Daddy through the mesh on their doorway

4) spread hay over the freshly-hoovered floor while foraging for the tastiest bits

5) sit outside in the rain

6) come in out of the rain without wiping my feet

7) run round Humum's feet while she is walking across any room in the house, especially if she is carrying anything

8) binky through the kitchen doorway while she is cooking

9) make any noise in any room in the house she is not in, so she has to stop what she is doing to come and check on me

10) generally be a Little Madam (which seems to encompass everything else)

11) get up any earlier than 8.30 in the morning, because apparently we are one of the last houses on Santa's route and if I am awake he won't stop


I'm starting to think that the fat bunny in the red suit is a bit of a spoilsport, but at least it has taken me all day and a lot of energy to find these things out

My Humum says I might be able to salvage things if, for the rest of the day, I sit very still, breathing very quietly and blinking very occasionally

Sparky, it sounds as if you have been read the riot act!! But I bet it was worth it as it would seem you have had a very fun day!!

Number 6 really made me laugh

number 8 made me chuckle but love number 11

I found a number 12 as well. I am also not allowed to:

12) wait until Humum has gone to bed and, just before she drops off to sleep, climb from the back of the sofa between the curtains, scurry along the windowsill, come out the end of the curtain which is outside my cage down onto the built-in thingy round the fireplace, fall down between that and the mesh of the cage, get stuck and need rescuing



Hudad got me up at 6 in the end, the big kid! Then he sent me upstairs to do laps of the bedroom to make sure Humum was up too

Despite yesterday, Santa Paws had been

We opened some pressies. So far, I have got a willow ball and next door gave us a bag of Mini Alfalfa bales, which are very nommy. I also got a stuffed log roll thingy which I went a bit daft over, so Humum says I best only have that for a few minutes at a time. There is paper to throw around and boxes to climb over and in, and my Hu-parents say they will build me a big castle out of boxes later. Mummy and Daddy got a hanging gnaw chew thing and we have to save some pressies for the other buns

I love Christmas

There are used to be some candle holders on the windowsill. Quite heavy glass ones. Right above the metal radiator. They made quite an effective bunny escape alarm system
