If I am still well in a few weeks I'll be going in for that op, then Humum was going to look for a husbun for me. I don't mind a wifebun though, I am a very modern girl
Sparky you can always come for a tea party/a girly afternoon with Maggie if you like, once youve had your operation of course!

Re: Just acquired another bun - PICS UD Pg 5
I would agree - reasonable grounds to say no.
I guess you could contact your local rescue and explain the situation. Tell them you are happy to be a fosterer for the time being. I have just been looking at your local rspca centre and they seem to have some single buns she could be paired with. If they are actually able to take her it would save you from the emotional stress of doing the rehoming yourself. I think a good home is required for this little girl.
As for the logistics at chez Sparky - I wouldn't have thought that one extra mouth to feed would make much difference to the clan!

Goodness she is a stunner! Im in love..
ooo sparky, she would make a lovely friend for you x x x x x x x
I think you are perfectly justified to tell the person no honey. It doesnt sound like the best environment for her x x x
Sorry to hijack the thread but can I ask - do you have lino on the floor of your playhhouse? if so how do buns get on with it? need to find something for the floor of the new shed?? Also just to let you know, I gave the new run two more coats of stain today and Hubster is going to put a support in for the lid and put some brackets to stable up the sides tomorrow - thanks so much for the heads up x x x

That would be lovely - Humum wants to give me another 3 or 4 weeks to make sure this nasty bug doesn't come back, then I'll have my day at the vets, then we'll have to arrange a play-datemarleyNfriends wrote:Sparky you can always come for a tea party/a girly afternoon with Maggie if you like, once youve had your operation of course!
The Hu-parents have big plans for a huge new shed and complete refurb on the garden when the weather improves. You remind your hudad sparky that we will be wanting pics at every step of the renovations!
Katie you could try the industrial grainy textured stuff. It is non-slip and hard wearing. I have used it in the rabbit and g.pig set ups before.

I really dont mind rehoming her myself, its just when friends say their interested and you dont want to offend them. Ive got it into my head that shes not staying and i know its the sensible option. I know i couldnt manage 4 bunnies! Its hard enough keeping the 3 of them out of trouble!
Speaking of which, dads just layed on the floor flicking bunny poo at them while he makes torpedo noises Dolly hoped over and nipped him Take that grumpy hoomin! Bunnies: 999999 Dad: Nil

Thats fab Im sure i mentioned something about the flooring in your thread I have been asked a lot though so i could be wrong. I say lino all the way! Proper lino though, not the cheap adhesive tiles. Lino is textured and buns manage fine on it, even Marley who refuses to even put a paw onto a smooth floor (even if his favourite noms are at the other side of the room!!) manages fine on it. Honestly, i cant see it being a problem

I also recommend proper lino, the stuff made these days is made to be non sloppy and my pair cope well on it, it's quite nice and cushiony too.
Do you have a local carpet/flooring shop near you? (Not a big chain shop) As often they will have odd rolls of a couple of meters for about £10, sometimes less.

She is utterly adorable! I can see why she hopped into your heart so quickly.
We're going to put lino in the bunny's room when we get it finished. Hubby says lino under the habitat and a good room size rug elsewhere. I found one I liked that looked almost like grass. It was blended grass green colors and a very soft 3 inch pile. Keeping it free of bunny poos would be impossible to vacuum tho.

Ill be sure to! She adores having her nose, head, neck and ears rubbed. Ive never had a bun that sits still long enough to dose off while you stroke them She had a lovely hour in the conservatory when i got in from work.jolovesbunnies wrote:I am so glad she has found you love, please give her a noserub from me.

She still has fleas though, my vet said she can mix with other rabbits in 48hours. Obviously that was never the plan, but its a good job ive got more sense, or my 3 would have them too! I think im going to call them in the morning and see if she needs anymore treatment as i can pick it up in my lunch break if need be.
Not sure if i already said, but after a good prod and poke this morning when i started her panacur, she does feel a bit thin. Shes eating really well, so hopefully she will start to put weight on. Im going to get her some junior pellets to mix with the science selective and some nice readigrass, then just add more veggies in slowly as i dont know what shes used to.
As i said before, the vet said her teeth seem fine, but ill get them to check again when i go back for her VHD.
I need some scales though, as shes too big to use the kitchen scales i use for my nethies. Does anyone local have any i could borrow? Id rather not buy scales if i can avoid it, because i just know ill become obsessed with my own weight too!
Also going to get some hay/straw to use as bedding as i only buy the small bags for emergencies and now im out. Ive had to resort to using posh ings hay as bedding!!! eeeeek.
Oh by the way, she has a page on facebook that you can "like" The little lady herself is going to post regular updates as quite a few people have shown interest in how shes getting on. Its hard to keep up!

At this point, I would like to ask bunnies everywhere to pray for good weather so our Humans can sort our garden out and our new home. Then we can consider having Maggie come to live with us
