How many of us use this wonderful bunny poo as fertiliser?

I don't?

i have done and sort of do. Bruce and Flo are very good at direct application in that back garden borders. I need a decent compost bin here to use it better. In my old house all the cleanings went in the compost and poos were put in the greenhouse waterbutt to help the tomatoes grow better.

I do or rather I did.

I used to scoop it up with a shovel from their poo corner in the run and then throw it onto the flower beds. I thought the buns were very considerate to provide it in pelleted form! Laughing

I would but I don't have a garden!! Not sure the flat below would appreciate bunny droppings falling from my balcony!! And I'm certainly not putting it on my wheatabix!! Laughing

I don't as I just don't have time to mess about sorting it all out but I should because along with Elephant poo it is one of the finest fertilisers you can get.

And if you have problems with cats get some Lion poop....that deters them Smile

Wolfie and Gloria picked a corner in their big run and would go over there and do their business as well as their litter trays in the hutch which they used at night.

I just shovelled up the resultant pellets which took about a minute, put them in a bucket and then scattered them over the beds. It is brilliant stuff and my garden always looks good for it in the summer.

There was a bit in the paper today about increased security at zoos but I thought this was to do with stopping rhino horn poachers not lion poo poachers!

I read in one of the editions of rabbiting on (I think) a recipe for making a liquid fertiliser out of bunny poo. Daisy is soo iccle it would have taken years to collect enough poo.

Although now I have the new guys who knows?

We use rabbit poo - along with sheep, pig, pony and goat poo. Marvelous stuff.

I remember in one of my botany classes the Prof. said rabbit poo was the gentlest fertilizer there was. Said it could be put directly onto even the most delicate of plant and it would not burn it.

When I had a garden I used it. My roses --don't laugh-- they had a stronger perfume when I used it. Used it in the vegetable garden as well. My son was perhaps 4 when he said that putting bunny poo on the carrots made them cannibals.---OK son---- The child was so serious!

I emptied the litter tray contents in our composter several times in the summer when my recycle bin was full, and I moved it last week and hadthe most lovely rich compost Smile I am filling it up again so I can make more and \I scatter loose poos on the flower bed borders. It's great cos it doesn't really smell and isn't offensive looking if left on the lawn. I'm hoping the poo will improve the quality of our soil cos we really struggle to grow any grass on where the lawn should be.
