Any advise or tips please
[b]The person we got the kittens from (and I still havent forgiven him for that) has found 3 wild bunns it seems the mother had been run over and was at the side of the road there were more babbies but they ran off I havent seen them but the sound very small will fit on the palm of his hand. He has phoned the vet's up who have advised he tries to give them some hay which he came round to see if we had any I was quite reluctant as I am down to my last six bails thats about half an hours worth if Fizz was let near it also the vet said that if they wont take the hay they would need milk so any advise would be gratefully recieved Ann wont let me go and see them but I can just imagane who is going to end up with them

Re: Any advise or tips please
I think that there is a guide to feeding somewhere in the stickys.
I would give the RSPCA a ring and find out if there is a wild animal rescue centre nearby that could take them.

Re: Any advise or tips please
That sticky is the best advice I've come across with regards to hand rearing, the hardest part with wildies is establishing their age. They tend to wean earlier than domestic babies, and the older they are the better their chance of survival.
A wildlife centre would give them the best possible shot.

Re: Any advise or tips please
I dont have much advice, I mean like Sooz says they generally wean earlier so it really depends how old they are as to whether or not they can just about make it on their own or whether they need intervention. I except its the latter.
I hope someone can help! x

I know Angie at BARC (who deals with the rabbits) has experience with hand rearing wildies if that's any help?
Re: Any advise or tips please
I have raised 1 wildie and I found at the time (many years ago) the RSPCA were not very helpful at all. I am sure things may be different now.
If you can find a wildlife centre that would be the best , it can be very hard work and sadly they don't always survive , you have to be very careful that you don't flood their tummies if you hand rear.
Found this if it's of any help http://www.debmark.com/rabbits/faq/wild.htm

This was my boy KC. I couldn't return him to the wild as he had become to tame. These were taken in March 1990.

Re: Any advise or tips please
[b]Thanks I will pass the link on I havent seen the bunns whilst they are our next door nabours they are around 1/4 mile away I did speek to one of there children yesterday and was told they seem to be dooing well on kitten milk (the Bunns not the kids). I will try this weekend to have a walk round and try and get some picks and probably try and bunnap them. I also think that if any family can help these poor little Bunns its them they are a family with 4 children that love all animals and wildlife the mother home educates the children and I have never come accross sutch polite and helpfull kids. I only realy found out about them when they asked us if we could look after the kittens for them and looked on there website. Even with the sort of things I put on here it suprises most people to know I am a very shy pearson that keeps myself to myself and cant talk and make small talk face to face (not like Ann who never shuts up) so I will find it quite hard to go round and see them daft I know .

A doe had 2 separate litters right outside the door of my old work. The babies were the cutest little things!! She would come and stand over the entrance to the burrow and the babies would pop up to feed from her. I was a nervous wreck when they started venturing out. I had to keep running outside to tell all the trucks to slow down

Aww! Well it sounds like they are doing really well so I'll keep my fingers crossed for them all, it takes real dedication to hand rear, and very special people!
