Hello my dear friends

I know this is something which has been asked many a time, but I just wondered if anyone could help me out here.

We have decided to get Binky Boo a lady companion from a friend of ours who runs a sanctuary in Probus.

Firstly, Binky is a very gentle bunny and very bonded to me. However we have been taking him over to another friend's house and he has been with her bunny for a couple of hours and was very happy, so was she. It is an unusual case of them greeting each other but not being bothered when they were parted when we went home.

I had to have my puss put to sleep a couple of weeks ago and he used to cuddle up to her, and I think he is missing animal company.

The little girl we are getting is called Holly and she is a Rex; she apparently loves people and is not shy. This is purely a selfish question but will I loose Bo’s affection? He sleeps on my bed and cuddles up to me most of the night, giving me licks and doing his happy noise, rolling onto his back etc. and I have to be honest, I don’t want to lose this as he is the bun I have always wanted. However, is it possible that I will gain a bun instead of loosing one or is there a chance he will not come to me as he does now? This is purely selfish I know that but it is worrying me. No matter what the outcome, he will have a bunny friend though because at the end of the day it is about his happiness.

Any input would be very greatly appreciated.

Lots of loves and nose rubs.

You will have to share his affection Jo but I cannot imagine that he will shun you. Binky is so unbelievably friendly that I cannot imagine him retreating from you, but he will want to spend his time grooming his mate.

Our Theo is a people bun, and has remained so since he has been bonded to Reuben.

As long as your new bun doesn't learn how to access the nommy food and treats, you'll be fine  Thumbs Up

I'm so glad another bun is coming to live with you, she is going to be a very lucky girl indeed. When does she come home?

I agree with everyone else. I highly doubt being such a friendly bunny that you'll loose Binky's love and affection, and you may even gain your girlie bun's love too Very Happy

If it helps, Willow has always been a people bun and remained so even after getting Mo Thumbs Up

Congratulations on your new addition. She is a lucky girl indeed! Hugs

Thank you my sweet friends for your really lovely and reassuring messages. I too think that I will be loved by two buns Katie love and I must admit that before I spoke to any of you, I was very concerned. Thank you so much Fluffslave (l love that name) for posting and reassuring me and for saying that she is a lucky little girl. She will certainly be pamperd and it will be lovely to see what she enjoys to eat and to learn about her little ways etc.

You are right Cheryl hun, she is definately coming home with us, I just wish I could have them all LOL!!

Thank you Sixer my darling and you are right, it is lovely to see them happy and snuggled up together. I hope I am right but have a feeling that this is going to work and it will be lovely for him to have a bunny pal. Her name is Holly, that has to be a good omen.
