Litter Trays
I have decided to move Nibbler away from a hutch and more towards an indoor set-up with NIC cubes (not sure what their official name is) as I think it will just be better for him overall. One of the biggest things I want to change for him first is doing his business in a litter tray. In looking for one all the ones I see in shops seem to be corner ones but they don't look big enough in my opinion for Nibbler as even the largest ones I couldn't imagine him being able to comfortably sit in it. I've tried searching online but without seeing it in person I don't want to go and buy a "large" tray finding out that they've just photoshopped a picture of a rabbit in to a tray that's far too small (this was in one of the reviews on Amazon for the rabbit beds - someone complained saying the image had to have been photoshopped because it was in no way shape or form large enough for a rabbit).
I've seen this one - http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=445&pf_id=6019 and it appears to tick all the boxes, but I thought I'd ask for your opinions before actually buying. It does say 'Measures 32cms square, 8cms high at the front and 19cms high at the back' but I'm awful with sizes and without having ever bought one before I didn't' want to go and buy it then regret it. Do you think this looks suitable? I want it to be suitable to sit in his hutch too, because I don't have the cubes at the minute and was thinking that a possibility would be to give his hutch an extension with the cubes as opposed to just replacing it altogether. Not sure about that one but I was going to have a play around when I got them.
Any help/advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Litter Trays
I've got quite a large, deep cat litter tray. Both buns fit comfortably in it (mini lops). I got a deep one as Toffee has been known to dig, so even if she does in this it tends to remain in the tray.
I always think that the ones advertised as being for rabbits are too small, which is why I've gone for cat litter trays.
ETA This thread will give you an idea of the size of the tray I use https://happyhoppers.forumotion.co.uk/t17130-just-a-couple-of-pictures-of-my-pair

Re: Litter Trays
I agree with Sue-Pawz the litter trays you buy for bunnies are not always big enough and I think if the bunny isn't comfortable on it they won't use it, our's have nearly all got potting trays now and they love them and the bonded pairs seem to sleep in them cuddled up

Re: Litter Trays
Was skeptical about a corner tray being big enough for my +10 Thumper. BUT, hubby got one anyway and Thumper loves it! He's never been one to lie in his litter box much though. He prefers the cold ceramic tile. Even in the Winter!

Re: Litter Trays
I got these for Molly and Junior. (Excuse the poo! )
They are nice and big, they both fit in one (at the moment) and as you can see, the top bit comes off for easy cleaning.
There are 2 things I really like about them!
1. They can't pee over the side, which they used to do all the time
2. It's very difficult for them to eat the hay without actually getting in the tray. I know that may same cruel but I'm getting desperate with this litter training business!!
These are also cat litter trays

Re: Litter Trays
We use large dog beds - £3.99 each from Home Bargains.
Here's one modelled by Jack:
We also use underbed storage boxes - about £3 each from PoundStretcher

Re: Litter Trays
Thanks a lot guys, these are all very helpful options thumper is that a cat litter tray? I'm not too confident in how the training will go (more my own doubts on my ability than Nibbler, I've never had to litter train before!) so it might be the best option for me to try with!
I know I should put some of his business in the tray to show him where to go, but if I just put it in his usual spot with some of his mess will he just use it & know what it's for? I don't think he's ever used one before.

Re: Litter Trays
Daisy has a cat litter tray with a lid on it.....all the mess he could possibly make is contained! we took the little flappy door off and he just hops in and out.
The outdoor guys have a potting tray because it is nice and big and long. I think we paid about £3 for it from the hardware shop. Works a treat!

Yes Rachel he was gorgeous and knew how to do flops well...I still miss him ! thankfully Deeva has her own adorable moments and yes Gentl if you want to come have a squish you are welcome!
As for the trianing-yes putting the tray in his usual place with his own 'business' in should do the trick and reinforce it by clearing up mishaps/poops and putting them and him in the tray wiht them!

Thanks - it sounds so simple. Though I'm wondering why I have a strange feeling it's going to be anything but.. Hehe
