Picky bunnies
I got a trial pack from the hay experts and their favourite was the oat wheat and barley.
So ordered them a 25lb bag of it when it came back in stock.
Now the @~#/*&%$ won't touch it!
I'm going to stop their pocket money until they've paid me back.
Any one near me wants to buy it off me at a good price (and 2 bunnies thrown in for free).

Re: Picky bunnies
Oh the little monkeys!! Can't believe that, especially with how pricey it is. My two did this half way through a bale so we had to go and buy a new type, luckily it was only £6.

Re: Picky bunnies
Mine done that with a bale too! After I'd trialled them with it and then bought a large one. If I gave it to them I got "errr where's the other one" look

Re: Picky bunnies
We get a basic bale of farm type meadow hay for a fiver, then bags of Vitakraft or Burgess hay with the herby bits in which we just get handfuls of on top of the meadow hay. Humum says that if we are hungry we will eat the meadow hay. We're so hard done by

Hate to admit it Sparky but this is exactly what my two get. A farm bale and then excel herbage or P@H timothy hay on top.

Re: Picky bunnies
I remember that incident *shivers*
The bags in one store looked pretty horrid they were brown and there was no green to be seen. They were 3 for 2 as well, probably why.
Went to a different store the next day and found lovely green bags, wasn't 3 for 2 though. Strange.

Re: Picky bunnies
I did find it very inconsistent. The first few bags we had were really good, nice long green bits but the next few, like you say, were full of brown and they didn't like it

Re: Picky bunnies
My two would rather have hay from the farm, they also have readigrass but had to cut them down on it as they were getting tubby.
Just thought I'd buy it for a treat since they wolfed the sample down.
Fussy bums, farm hay and a sprinkle of readigrass and dried dandy from now on.
