i need some advice please my parsley i think is in a bit of pain from the op yesterday so went to vet this morning and got some metacam for him she said at first 1 to 2 drops but then i was told 0.2ml once a day.
as he is a small lad how much do you think would be right 1 drop or 0.2mg i'm confused.
i gave him a drop and a half on a treatum which he loves and nommed up.

Rob, who told you 0.2mg? Was it also the vet who said 1 to 2 drops?

Don't be afraid to give them a decent dosage of metacam. Joey was on 0.7ml when he had his tum problems.

If Parsley is on the 1.5 mg /ml Metacam for dogs then it's 0.4 ml per kilo.

Is the Metacam for dogs or cats that you have been given Rob?

Right so it's 0.4 ml per kilo of rabbit Rob, do you know roughly what Parsley's weight is?

ooh not sre exactly but he is a little bun with slender physique i would say he's less than a bag of sugar which is 1kilo=2.2lb so i would guess he's around half a kilo which kinda suggests they are right with 0.2ml

If he was 1/2 kilo Rob that would make him smaller than our wee Nethie Fudge

I have had a look at a video of him on the forum and he look's the size of Kenzo but just to be on the safe side Rob I'd give Parsley 0.4 ml.

Do you have any bathroom scales you can quickly pop him on?

I was just wondering if we had seen him because I don't remember. I can't usually watch Rob's vids for some reason

Rob you could always ring your vet and ask for Parsley's weight size as she would know if you wanted to be sure

We use these type of scales as they are ideal and they are baby scales

I don't even have bathroom scales, there's no danger I've got one of those fancy scales Maysie

just p****d off the wife i stuck him on the kitchen scales (my buns come first lol) and he was not impressed he periscoped and put his front paws on my chest and started digging and then nipped my chest just
from a very quick glimps it looked like 2lb 3oz but fluctuated from 1lb to 2lb as he would not keep still
so going to try .04ml as maysie suggests sounds about right
