trees safe for buns Empty trees safe for buns

Has anyone got a list of trees that are safe for buns to eat, branches and leafs, I have a black maple in my front garden, planted it years ago, and it needs cut back again, would be shame to waste the cut offs so thought maybe could give it to the buns, once I check its safe for them. There is a big tree out our front too. Not sure what its is, it gets berrys on it in the autum and the leafs are pritty big roundish shape.

Ah! Here we go:

Medirabbit list here (bottom of page 20, top of page 21)

"Trees carrying drupes – single-seeded fruits (including plum, cherry, apricot and peach) are toxic to rabbits.

Safe trees: Willow, spruce, ash, birch, maple, juniper, poplar, apple, pear, hazel and hawthorn."

Then I found this website: http://kanin.org/node/190

My wee patch of garden planted myself 4 years ago. It was a jungle of weeds behind a hedge when we moved in.

On the tree, cant reach lol, hubby might be able to pull one down, I did however give them some of the maple bush, nope turned noses up at it, took ages cleaning it too, make sure no bugs were on it etc. They did enjoy there dandilion tho, I have an over growing load in the stones but cant use the gas wand incase set fire to the covering underneith, so they are the only weeds that are left un touched, I dont use sprays since I have cats dogs etc, incase the lick the area.

I know of lots of things it is not. Can you tell us more about the berries - size, are they closer to red or yellow in colour, do they have stones? And does it flower and if so what do the flowers look like?

Are they really small? What are they close to - a pea, a cherry?

I can't make out the leaf shape and structure well enough from the picture, but here's a handy tree identifying site:

Is it an evergreen or deciduous? Some holly trees have smooth edged leaves.
