little bluebell
was really freaked out when she went for her post stitch check up today and was told all is healing really well and to carry on bathing it twice a day with a little salted water, and to have baytril and zantac throughsyring,
after bathing her wound she got soo stressed that when i tried to give her her meds her fur went flying everywhere that i could hardly breath or see so i decided not to give it today poor little girl.
good news is that today she really tucked into some kale
maysie will it hurt if she misses the meds today ?

Re: little bluebell
Do you have any basil? If so you can pop it on a leaf and roll it up - she might take it then and basil smells strong so she might not catch on.
Or inject it into a mini shredded wheat if you have any.
I would try to get it into her - she shouldn't miss the anti-biotics, definitely....

Re: little bluebell
I'm glad she is healing well
I would personally try really hard to get the meds into her. Give her some time to relax and then try again. Hold her tight on your lap or against your chest. If that doesn't work, do you have anyone who can hold on to her on a low table so you can get them in her?

I would also try again when she has calmed down a bit.

Re: little bluebell
It is important Rob that she get's her course of meds especially the antibiotics as they all help with her healing. You could try what Sparky said with the Basil or on a mini shredded wheat we have put some in carrot before today and in treats and on a little bit of wholemeal bread . I just wish we were nearer as we would come round and help give her her meds.
