I think I will have to take a risk tomorrow.
Scout hasn't moved all day, everytime I look out the window she is lying in exactly the same spot, in the same position staring into space. She gets excited about her food but wont come near it until I have left and once she has eaten she just goes back to lying and staring.
I am consequently going to try rebonding the terrible trio tomorrow and run a Panacur course at the same time because it's breaking my heart watching her looking so mournful all the time. I also think the sooner I try the easier it will be for her.
Any thoughts?

Who are you going to re-bond her with? Sorry, I am not up-to-date with all your bunnies
Would you be willing to find a new partner for her if the trio doesn't work out? Sending loads of bonding vibes your way, I am hoping Scout gets back her bounce xx

Re: I think I will have to take a risk tomorrow.
Scout was originally bonded with my male pair Marley & Fiver but when Bobby lost his partner in January she was the only female I had to try him with and they hit it off straight away.
Scout has never been a problem to bond and Marley & Fiver are both pretty chilled.
If it dosn't work it's a whole different ball game as I can't take on another rabbit until after next year now.

Re: I think I will have to take a risk tomorrow.
I think you should go ahead & try the bond.
I faced the same situation when Honey's partner died suddenly. He just sat, as Scout is, staring all day long into space. It was heartbreaking to see him that way & after just 5 days I got him another mate. He didn't have the same closeness as he had had with Fudge, but he had company & I am convinced if he hadn't, I would have lost him too.

They've been together for 50 minutes now and it's like they have never been apart, we had grooming within 15 minutes! I will keep them in tonight and then rehouse them into the large hutch tomorrow

It's like they remembered each other, I have never seen anything like it. The group dynamics have even gone back to how they were (so feel a bit sorry for Fiver as he was always slightly less popular) but they are all snuggled together whenever I go out so I am a very happy bunny mummy.

I think it was the bunnies more than anything I did, these three were a piece of cake when I first bonded them and are honestly the most chilled out little things ever. As long as no-bun starts on them they wont start on anyone else.
The Marley, Fiver, Callisto bond failed because Calli took a dislike to Marley, not because of either of the boys.
Re: I think I will have to take a risk tomorrow.
hmmm...its interesting what youve said, because jelly groomed domino within fifteen minutes of my group bond, and they r always snuggling, grooming, flopping together and it happened so quickly i am convinved she knew who he was because shes always been able to see him since he left her.
im so glad its worked out!
