Re: 5 week old bunny
If she is a bit on the lean side, it would be better for her to put on weight gradually anyway, although she'll grow at a heck of a rate at her age.
What food does she have now? Unlimited hay, unlimited decent nugget food and fresh water? I'd have her water in a bowl rather than a bottle - buns seem to drink more then.
It wouldn't hurt to weigh her every other day or so and keep an eye on what she weighs - it might reassure you that she is putting on weight, and it might shock you just how quickly she'll put it on as she grows.

Re: 5 week old bunny
I agree, I wouldn't say she was seriously underweight, if at all, although it's difficult to tell with all that fluff.
I think a lot of people tend to think bunnies should be quite round, where in fact they are a lot happier if they are a little lean. That said, keep this one on unlimited rations while she has so much growing to do

What an absolutely gorgeous little bun, she is very much like my Miffy was. Lots of positive vibes are on their way with noserubs and cuddles.
Welcome aboard love.

Re: 5 week old bunny
**UPDATE**
Hi everyone just wanted to say that little Effie passed away yesterday morning, I don't know why, she was absolutely fine, eating, drinking, and running around the living room like normal, but when I woke up she'd gone I'm just sorry I couldn't have done more for her

Please do not blame yourself, it won't have been anything you did, or didn't do, that made Effie leave for the bridge.pupsicle wrote:**UPDATE**

You did everything you possibly could have for her. She knew what it was like to be loved with you. Some bunnies live for years without knowing what love is. She was lucky to have you during her short life

Re: 5 week old bunny
Oh! I'm so saddened to hear this. Even though you had her a short time she experienced love and was a happy bunny. Now she is at the Bridge waiting. Playing with all the other HH bunnies. I think we must have our own meadow up there. Binky free Effie! Binky forever free!

Re: 5 week old bunny
Oh no, I'm so sorry
Unfortunately little bunnies are very delicate, especially when they are being weaned onto solid food, and the fact she was away from her Mum so early would have meant it was very difficult to rear her. We know you did everything you could for her, and so does she
