Hello fellow bunny lovers.

Hi, I have just joined up because I've heard so many good things about this forum.

I don't really know what to say in these intros so bare with me.

I'm vegan, 23 and love all animals. I volunteer at a rescue who has 3 rabbits up for adoption, I have worked with this rescue to get all the bunnies vaccinated and neutered and get adequate accommodation for them all. Things are going very well; all are now vaccinated and one has just been neutered and we have 2 new hutches. I also volunteer at the local RSPB reserve as a hide guide, which I thoroughly enjoy. Some people may know me from the another forum forum, so hello to you!

I have two house bunnies who free range in my bedroom, Fiver and Xena. Fiver is a little harlequin cross and is coming up 5, he was my first house bunny and is an absolute terror. Xena is a magpie harlequin and she is about 2/3 years old (she was found dumped so we aren't sure) she is quickly matching Fiver with her naughtiness! I rehomed Xena (formerly Maggie Magpie) from Sophia (marleyNfriends) and she has settled in well, I love her so much and I'd like to think she loves me.
I also have a dog called Rosie, she is 14 now and I've had her from when she was only 9 weeks old, although she's starting to slow down I still see her as my best friend and she loves to play and bounce about like a puppy.

I think that's about everything.

Haha, I don't know about it being a "pleasure" to be in their company. I just hope they behave for you! I bet you they are absolute angels for you and make me look like a horrid bunny mummy

I fell a little bit in love with Xena / Maggie so was thrilled when she found such a wonderful home. I see Fiver is gorgeous too - what a lovely couple they make

I'm new to here too and everyone has been lovely and very helpful.....so hello!!! Your buns are beautiful....I haven't got the hang of photos yet...but must try harder!! I think it's lovely that others on the site know your buns too.

Hi Cerci Yes it seems Xena is a bit of a celebrity on here! I use Photobucket for the pic in my sig but you can just upload a photo from your computer as your avatar

Thank you everybody for your kind words! Fiver and Xena do make a lovely couple I have had to keep an eye on them recently, however, because Xena seems a little irritated. She is moulting and is NOT happy about it. I'm hoping her behaviour will calm when she has moulted all her fluff.
I have lots and lots and lots of pictures of her I will post some up later so you can all see how she is coming along.

Coo ee sorry it has taken so long! Its lovely that everyone remembers Xena. Maybe now shes on here i will call her Xena more often, but i cant help calling her Maggie! Im so glad you took her on, i honestly dont think i could have found her a better home

Do you mean Xena? (the black and white). Over here the magpies seem much more uncommon than the regular harlequins. I adore harlequins, my bridge bunny, Ellie was a harley too.

They make a brilliant couple but as I mentioned I'm having some problems with them chasing each other and nipping. I'm hoping it's late spring fever mixed in with the irritation of a rather heavy moult. They are still happy flopping next to each other, binkying about and grooming so I'm hoping it will pass and not escalate into anything.

Yes, the beautiful Xena. Where I live rabbits are considered more livestock. However,
that is slowly changing. People have always been astounded to meet my bunnies.
Most have no idea how incredibly smart they are!
