In trouble......
Violet and Alfie were in the living room with us pottering around. Unfortunately, Violet decided to chew a wooden picture frame and then Alfie had a nibble on the fireplace surround. Hubby went mad and has shooed them both back upstairs to their pen.

Oh yes, this is a familiar thing in our house I let Vince in for cuddles and he chewed through the telephone wire Vince is no longer allowed in the house.

Re: In trouble......
the buns cage is like a bunny mansion,so if it was human size,i would more than happy move in to that with the buns, certainly a lot easier than 3 kiddies thats one golden rule from hubbie, there not house rabbits,it took a lot of ear bending to let them in the house when they got spayed

I shouldn't complain really, he's very understanding most of the time and we do have a whole bedroom devoted to the buns. He gets more cross with them when they chew stuff than I do.

Re: In trouble......
It's a risk we take with having house buns! I'm really hoping my OH won't get to the stage of not wanting Nibbler indoors when we have an outdoors, but tbh I think he loves having him around as much as I do If it was up to me, my whole flat would be one big pen for Nibbler

Uh-oh - sounds like somebunny's in trouble! Willow is not really destructo-bun, but she does have a flavour for electrical wires. I have to keep everything well hidden from her!

Re: In trouble......
I feel your pain Molly chewed one of our door frames yesterday. Badly They've done a fair bit of chewing, but this one is ridiculous!! You can't turn your back on her for a second.
My OH is going to be soooo mad when he sees it. A bit of paint isn't going to cover it up

A set of buns practicing their remodeling skills! How
lucky you are to have such talented rabbits! My
big guy Thumper is quite adept at remodeling.

I know the feeling now! I have just bought some cable protectors after Barley 'Destrucobun' ate through all my cables and tried to have a nibble at my laptop charger too!

I know chewing is what buns do, but they have so many of their own toys to chew and they still prefer the house and furniture

Re: In trouble......
Of course they do!
How much do you think this bun looks like Oscar Tracey? I know he is darker in the face but as soon as I saw him I thought he had a little ozzie charm about him. Not sure if you wanted to see it but though you would! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=497668643581595&set=a.100429186638878.852.100000153910796&type=1&theater

Re: In trouble......
I know, his face isnt but his body, and even thought the colourin of his face isnt the fur itself and the face shape is so him too! I had to show you.
I still miss Peanut Butter, its always hard when I look at old photos of him with Jelly, they were a fab pair. Even though she is bonded with my other two she hates sharing Domino, and she was so happy with Peanut she really was. I aways tell myself I have been so lucky, mine are all 5-6 years now, and you see so many losses so young I have to remind myself I am luckier than what I could have been.

Re: In trouble......
I just showed Darren the photo and he said oh my god he's so like Oscar (apart from his face colour).
I knew I would miss Oscar badly, you know what a special bond I had with him. I keep thinking about him tonight because that's the last time I had to deal with a bunny tummy ache. Violet just isn't picking up.

Re: In trouble......
Its not the same though, Oscar had so many near misses and had such a troubled life before you, he just kept bouncing back and then he just couldnt any more, Violet is a younger bun and this is a seperate thing - it doesnt mean anything is going to happen to her. Shes a fighter

There isn't much left in furniture that hasn't been nibbled at sometime or other by our bunnies over the years, Pud Bless him wasn't much of a furniture nibbler more of a 'hole's in long curtains' bunny

Oh, my! I hadn't thought of long curtains being chewed. I bought 5 pair pre Thumper and Hubby doesn't have them up yet. I hope Thumper doesn't
decide to chew them too! of course some I've had for 5 years and i don't think Hubby is going to hang them any time soon.
