For Sparky and any other Hughie Fans!!
Hughie is doing fine, he has come in for a run around this afternoon and seems a little more confident than he was before. He retreats to his litter tray if he gets scared. He seems to like the dogs, Jess more so than Poppy, he will go and greet her and seems more interested in her because she says a quick hello and goes and does her own thing somewhere. Poppy on the other hand wants to be his best friend and gets into his space which he doesnt like. I left them to it though, as i had a feeling he would warn her off when hes had enough. He did, he lunged at her and she went and sat between Dads legs sulking
Anyway, he still hasnt had much interest, bless him. I really want to see him with a friend, i feel guilty him being outside alone, and dont want to bring him in, because if he finds a home in the winter, and they want to keep him outdoors, he wont be able to go unless they are willing to bring him in until spring. I have toyed with the idea of finding him a friend and rehoming a pair but thats kind of defeating the object, and i bet i would end up keeping the pair of them! So im not really sure what to do, but i really want him to have company. I have a feeling he is going to be here a while, as hes only had one person interested in him, and i havent heard from her for weeks. Heres some pictures taken today, anyway.
The first time ive been able to hold/snuggle him without him panicing!!
ETA: Jess keeps walking over to the back door where he is, and he keeps binkying and running over to her!!

We think he is stunning and a complete sweetie
Next time someone says he is ugly, send them to Specsavers. What sort of criteria is that for selecting a rabbit anyway?
When the Hu-parents went for Layla, they just said to try Jack with whoever had been there the longest, and now they have the sweetest, funniest clown of a big ginger flump who has really brought Jack out of his shell. They think she is quite a pretty girl too, although when Humum first saw her size she did think and Jack went (although she has moulted down to about half the rabbit she was )

Hughie is a handsome chap! I agree that the person who judged him as 'ugly' needs her eyes checked. Maybe she was a 'only lops are cute' person. And you are a beautiful young lady, Sophia.

Re: For Sparky and any other Hughie Fans!!
I think its partly due to the fact that there are so many males looking for homes at the moment, and aparently rehoming seems to be quite slow at the moment.

Re: For Sparky and any other Hughie Fans!!
I agree girls, there is no such thing as an ugly bunny, they are all gorgeous. I realise I am not alone but I would love to give them all a home and make then happy. He is lovely
Anyway why are people so bothered aout what their pet looks like, it is his little soul and character that should take precendence?
Hugs

Re: For Sparky and any other Hughie Fans!!
Exactly! Anyway, the homecheck that a young lady had went really well. Few improvements to make, but she knows im concerned about them both being male. I said i wasnt even willing to attempt it until her was 8 weeks + post neuter.
I have spoken to her about the possibility of them falling out in future if they do bond and what would she do, and im happy with what she has told me. I have warned her not to get her hopes up though and that in the mean time, i will look out for girl buns for both of them, as i know this would be best for them.
