Flamazine question Empty Flamazine question

Post by Maizey Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:55 pm

Willow has a bleeding sore in the middle of his back paw.I treated him with Flamazine about a month ago and it healed up.This morning I noticed him licking his paw and on inspection he has a bleeding sore again.I went to the chemist to get a new tube of flamazine. My question is,It says to throw the tube away after seven days.Do any of you use it for longer than seven days of do you get a new tube in?

Mmm - can't help I'm afraid. I suspect I would use it on myself but not on one of the bunnies!

I use it for much longer than 7 days once opened. I wipe the nozzle with surgical spirit after use and I keep the Flamazine in the fridge.

I misidented it for a tube of cream cheese a few weeks ago................ Hmmm

Can you buy Flamazine over the counter? Is it good for sores on hocks?

I have used an opened tube for up to 2 months as long as it's kept refrigerated and the nozzle is wiped with Surgical Spirit after every use.

I would use Flamazine on hocks where the skin is cracked and inflammed. I just use Aloe Vera Gel on bald hocks that are rather dry.
