Toy Question
Rory has 'discovered' toys. Pushing his hay ball everywhere, lining up all his bowls in a line in
the middle of his enclosure(can't figure out why he does this ) and NOW he is wanting to
play tug of war. Is that a proper game to play with a bunny? What would be a proper toy?
He tries with loose socks and tonight he grabbed the bead garland and wanted to play tug-of war.
I'm concerned his teeth would just slice through those rubber dog ones. Oh. Just remembered
we cannot have latex rubber in the house. I'm allergic.
Ideas for a tug-of-war toy? He doesn't chew the socks and his teeth surprisingly don't cut the
yarns.

Re: Toy Question
Myrtle has a small piece of rope with a knot in it for this, I think it is supposed to be a toy for rats/mice etc though.
I have to let Myrtle win all the time though as she gets bored of the game if she doesn't always win!

Re: Toy Question
I have some wooden hoops on a tring that Dolly likes to tug at. You can also buy rope toys for bunnies, or even just make your own out of some natural string/twine. Just plait several pieces together to make a nice thick rope for her.
I have to say this made me laugh He sounds like a little puppy! and the lining the bowls up thing

Rory likes to rough house like a dog too! Likes me to spin him around with my feet whilest
he is biting my socks. (This is different from the humping and biting he does.) I'll spin him one way, then
the other. Then he will run circles around my wheelchair, then around Hubby. All that is
absent is the the 'grrrr' sound a dog makes. He will play fetch too though he doesn't always
bring it back but just run or binky to it very fast then want you to throw it again. He keeps
me laughing! If we do this 'rough' activity near Bunny Bedtime he sleeps SO well which means
I do too!
He is constantly remodeling his boxes too.....and rearranging them. We are hoping that he will
go absolutely mad for the Maze Haven when we set it up. Thumper just hid behind it...but he
never got the idea of it or any other toy.

Re: Toy Question
Rory*
How about an old tea towel with a knot tied in it? I bet that would be fun for tugging, throwing and digging at
Layla loves plastic balls with bells in - she has ones in several different sizes and thinks the noise they make when she throws them is just brilliant
*We need more piccies....

If it's the dog rope toy be very careful we know someone who had one for their rabbit and the rabbit was ill and died they did a pm and it had been chewing the toy rope and it had blocked it's stomach and that's what killed it.
This is what I'm talking about they are dangerous for bunnies http://www.petsathome.com/shop/ruff-and-tuff-knotted-rope-toy-small-57903?cm_re=barilliance-_-cross sell-_-product details

Rory sounds like a funny character - lining all his bowls up? Bless
Maybe he'd appreciate one of the jingly dumbell type toys. They are easy to pick up and throw around. Not sure what type of stuff you have in America like that though...

Thanks for the info Maysie! I think we'll try and find the jingle balls and dumbbell toy recommended! Thanks EVERONE! It's not like we are spoiling him or anything.,,,he's just a joy.....even if he pees and poos all over where I sleep....and poos all over the house.....except for the bed he made himself.
