we cant sort out permanent accomodation for the buns until my dad has decided if he is going to convert the workshop or do them a shed, so for 2 months minumum, could be up to 6, is this sized hutch okay??
2 foot deep, 2 foot high, 6 foot long, but on three levels?

Re: is this hutch big enough??
How much of the floor space is lost to ramps? Could you attach a large run securely with permenant access as well?
Re: is this hutch big enough??
not much because of the way my dad has done it, i cant attatch a run becauseof where it is in the garden, i have a 7 foot zooplus run though.
i figured bcs its 6 x 2 x 2 for a pair, seeing as a have four that would be double, so i thought they fact they were getting triple...it would be big enough?
is it not?
if not i will try something else!

Re: is this hutch big enough??
it's always hard to say. there are guidelines but it really depends. If it's the biggest you can do and if they have enough space to freely move arond then it might not be a problem. will they get 'outside time' as well?
It's hard 'cos we're not all blessed with 100-acre gardens and unlimited funds eh?

Re: is this hutch big enough??
well the hutch is 6 x 2 x 2, three levels, with access to a 7 x 3 run but not attatched.
i dont wana spend loadsa cash actually on their temp accom bcus they r gunna have a shed plus avairy or convert the workshop for them, so by spendin xtra on temp accomodation...im slowing down there permanent accomodation,.

Re: is this hutch big enough??
well as long as you reckon they are happy enough then for temporary accommodation it probably doesn't matter a smuch. how long will they be there?
I'm sure it will be fine. Just make sure you keep an eye on them that they have enough space to run, binky etc

Re: is this hutch big enough??
in all honesty i think they will be in their new accomodation before december.
if it was 2 levels only id be concerned bcus the ladder DOES remove some space but as its three instead i think that makes up for it.
its this hutch (now finished)

I think that would be fine as long as they are getting out in the run too. Did yor Dad build it for you?

yeh! he built it for our holiday boarders but bcus from sept-december we arent that busy were gunna use for mine until their shed or workshop conversion is ready!
buddabun - the run isnt attatched bcus its a zooplus one, but when they dont fight in it, (too much space lol) i will connect 2 together so their run will be 14 x 3 foot
