hector is being vaccinated today

My vets have the combined vaccine, I'm so nervous, he's going to hate me so much afterwards!

I'm going to have to give him extra science selective pellets to make up for it

My 2 never seem to notice the injection much at the time. In fact Flo is so busy being outraged at being touched let alone restrained that she does not react to the injection at all. They are usually a bit quiet later though.

Aw I shouldn't worry I'm sure he'll be fine Nibbler is never bothered by any vaccinations. I think the trip (or rather what's in the waiting room) is more startling than what's actually happening, I get a few foot flicks when we get home but they soon forgive you

Mine just go a little sleepy m'dear but soon wake up when dinner is served.

Thank you everyone, you've made me feel a lot better about it! I have full faith in my vets as they've always been excellent. I'm going to get some spot on for hector too, even if I can't use it yet! (You might think it's unnecessary but as we have dogs who run through fields twice a day, everyday, and I had quite a horrible experience with mites with my mice, I'd rather be safe than sorry)

Back from the vets! The vet checked him over, looked in his ears, checked his tummy and bum and listened to his heart and said he was really healthy he asked me lots of questions about what I'm feeding him, where he's kept, how he was in general, then said I was doing everything right and was obviously very clued up. Then he complimented hector on being very laid back, I left the vets all glow-y and proud, haha.

He didn't flinch when he had the injection either, but he had a little sulk on the way home

Glad he is so well. He might go a bit quiet for a couple of days - just keep an eye on him and make sure he is eating / pooping ok

Us lot are normally much brighter on the way back from the vets... until we get indoors and do the synchronised back-turn on the hu-parents

He seems fine at the moment, he was quiet when we got back- he went straight in his box house, but by the time I'd got back from the drs like 15 minutes later he was fine. He is running around and binkying at the moment, he gave my hand a wash and I stroked him for a bit, then he went back to running

I'll definitely keep an eye on him for the next couple of days, it's why I wanted to get him vaccinated on a friday, so I am home for a few days to watch him

Mine are well behaved at the vets, Marley tries to leap over my shoulder given half the chance though And my little Skye used to have a good old thump when she went back in the carrier.

Hector sounds like he was as good as gold I cant wait until he grows in confidence and we find out what his little quirks are.

I think if he gets any more confident he'll be bossing the dogs around
