Re: Willow's eye :( U/D 16/10/12 - It's back :(
Well, Willow has been off her eye ointment since Friday evening and has been fine, but last night I noticed it was looking a bit gungy again and then today she has white gunk coming out of it and it looks a bit wet.
We're bathing it with sterilised water and re-applying the ointment for 48 hours as she doesn't seem distressed in any way and is still herself, and if there's no improvement after that then she'll be back up to the vets.
I was just wondering, do you think I should postpone putting her and Mojo together tomorrow? The vet diagnosed it as a blocked tear duct and it did clear up as we used the ointment, so I wonder whether it wasn't a long enough course or maybe it's going to be a re-occuring problem for her. Either way, that's not contagious.

Thanks Rachel
She's not complaining, it means an extra leaf of Romaine Lettuce for a few more days again so that mummy can treat her eye!

Re: Willow's eye :( U/D 16/10/12 - It's back :(
I'd be inclined to give the vet a call and just let them know of the recurrence so they have a chance to give it some consideration before you turn up with her.
If you were intending to put Mojo and Willow together for good, I'd delay doing so for a couple of days so you are not taking her away again for a vet visit.

Re: Willow's eye :( U/D 16/10/12 - It's back :(
Sparky my main concern was that it was going to be contagious to Mojo which I suppose we can't guarantee it won't be. But if it does mean she needs to go the vets, I could always just stick Mr Mo in the carrier and bring him along too. I'm sure she'd benefit from a buddy for the journey

Thank you Rob
She doesn't seem too affected. Is currently being her usual mischievous self and trying to jump out of the playpen as she is in Mo's pen at the moment

Re: Willow's eye :( U/D 16/10/12 - It's back :(
Well good news! Willow's eye is completely open, dry and clean this morning!
I'm wondering if maybe she had a seed or something in there, and bathing it and putting some ointment in did the trick. Let's hope so!
Her and Mojo are having their date this evening
