Home visit today at 4pm

well Herbie has been neutered and he has passed the teeth test so now I am waiting for the home visit. I'm probably just being impatient but why is it taking soooooooooooo long? The hoemchecker tried to phone me yesterday afternoon at 4pm but I missed the call as I was helping with afterschool club. She left a snooty message about me leaving my phone on for her call and I haven't heard from her since. I tried to call back but the number wasn't recognised.

I spoke to the RSPCA receptionist who said the homechecker will be in touch again, BUT WHEN??????????? I want little Herbie to be with me so he can be loved and spoiled here. I doubt I will hear from her at the weekend, so am now waiting till Monday, thats if she phones then, and then it'll probably be a few days before she will come, then I have to wait a day for the result. It's taking ages I can see why people go to pet stores

It's so frustrating, I'm not even sure I will pass the homecheck, the receptionist said the requirements were a 6ft wide by 3ft deep and 2ft high hutch with the same as a run. Sounds a bit weird to me.

Those are standard RSPCA requirements. Show you know your stuff. They want to see that the buns will have enough space.

I can imagine that the homechecker gets messed about at times, and as she is no doubt a volunteer doing it on her own time and at her own expense, I can understand why she might be a little impatient at times. And on the basis that she is a volunteer, you might well hear from her over the weekend...

A different lady phoned me this morning who sounded more friendly than the other lady. This new lady is coming over this afternoon at 4pm so fingers crossed all will be well and I can pick up Herbie monday morning

Yay Herbie will be coming home on Monday!!!! The homechecker is a rabbit owner and she liked how I keep my rabbits, said they had things to do and I seem to know what I'm doing She keeps her buns in sheds with runs attached so I was pleased she liked how I do things.

I'm going to get him at 10 am Monday. Next big step is bonding him to Tilly. He is a sweet bunny so if it takes ages then so be it.
