Father Jack's Hay Box Review
POSITIVES:
- Its quite big and heavy so the buns cant knock it around.
- It holds lots of hay, far more than what i can fit in the hayrack i made.
- Because of the two holes, they can get hay from it more easily than they can from the hay rack.
- Its relatively easy to fill
- I also think it looks good, but the biggest positive for me is that its surprisingly tidy compared to the hayrack. They pull the hay out and make a mess, but its easy to sweep up. The hayrack would get hay all over, outside the bars, down the back of the lino and litter tray etc, it was a pain to clean up sometimes as id have to pull the whole pen out to get the hay that had fallen out.
NEGATIVES/THINGS THAT COULD BE IMPROVED
- They can get into the box through the holes, which i initially thought made it more fun...until they peed in it. Not really a massive problem, but i did think i might have to break it in order to get them out!
- The small holes made it hard to clean, i would suggest perhaps a hinged or removable lid at the top, which will also make filling it even easier.
- It does take up a fair bit of room once the litter tray is placed infront of it.
Overall, Father Jack's hay box gets an 8/10 and Marley and Dollys bunny seal of approval Thank you every so much Father Jack and Sparky I hope that review was honest enough for you!!

Re: Father Jack's Hay Box Review
You'll have to feed them up so they can't get through the holes.
Hudad did think they *might* get in and widdle (he should have known they would ) so was thinking that a hinged or removable bit would be a good idea, as well as possibly lining the inside so it was wipe-clean.
I think he would be reluctant to try to make the holes smaller - too small for the body might allow the head to get stuck or if they could get their heads in they might be tempted to try getting the rest of them in. It's probably safest to make sure the holes are too big for them to get stuck, allow them to get in and out and live with the occasional widdle. Alternatively it would be possible to do one with bars on the front instead of holes - do you think that would work? Would the front then need to be upright instead of sloped back?
I'm not sure what you could do about the size. It needs to be big enough to get quite a lot of hay in and not be thrown around and not able to tip over and squish a bunny. I wonder if it might be possible to do one on low legs so the litter tray slides underneath or partly underneath. Or use a smaller litter tray

Yes this is a tricky one and you cant really win At least, not with my two! As for the size, its fine for Marley and Dolly, as they arent shut in their pen for too long and get plenty of free range time. The flippin castle i got is taking up too much space though
