Its all very expensive isnt it!
I can't complain as I found the indoor cage for £35, well £45 inc a hayrack as opposed to £75 in Pets At Home...but I have had to bite the bullet and buy extra things. I have a tunnel, but its the "girls" tunnel. And its a bit dirty because its outside all the time in their run. And all the toys the girls have, have their smells on etc. Although to be fair they could do with a few new things too.
So I have just spent £50 on bits and bobs for Domino indoors. I have tried to go for mixed textures and sounds for him, I have bought jingle balls which he loves, willow balls, sea grass mats, a crinkly cat tunnel and a snuggly little "wigwam" bed. As well as a new water bottle thats a non drip fancy one. And a few other toys as well to hang up etc.
I can't really afford it, because of moving house and everything, but now he is going to be properly indoors he needs lots of stuff to keep him occupied. I dont begrudge it,I am so grateful he is still with us, but its made me very very skint!
Will post photos when he is in his temporary set up in my bedroom until we move

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
Awwww hes a lucky boy, and totally deserves it!! Which water bottle did you buy? Ive just bought a "fancy non drip one too" Its the Savic Source water bottle. I checked the reviews, theyre good, but bunny might need teaching to use the mechanism aparently.
Cant wait for pictures, ive just spent a fortune on next to nothing! Have a look on the forsale pages, one of those baby activity mat with the different textures and things on it might be really good, and cheap!!

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
I just went for the rosewood dripless drinker, so its not that fancy haha. But it seemed a good choice, I didnt want to got for one too complicated in case he cant work out how to use it, but hopefully it will stop the drips.
Yeh thats true, I could probably pick one of those up in the charity shops He will love it, and He seems to like lots of "stuff" around him, so I can lay it all on the floor on an old fleece blanket and he can have a good investigate.
I just went into the conservatory to see him and he looked so bored and lonely, he rushed over to see me so it will be nice when he can know im literall right across the room from him. I expect his mobility will get better too because he will constantly be seeing whats going on, the intruige etc will make him more mobile because he will be investigating etc.
Im going to make him a bunny blanket on the sewing machine for in the base of the cage. make it to size with the exception of where his litter tray will sit, will likely make it with fleece and some wadding inside, so it can be easily machine washed but he cant "kick it up" and get himself all tangled in it like he would if I just gave him an actual fleece blanket.
Might have to give him polka dot fleece

This is why i like buying the bunny blankets off RU, as they dont fly all over and get messed up like their normal fleeces and its easier to get the hair off for when it goes it the wash too Awww hes going to be a spoiled bunny for Christmas!!

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
I told Mum I bought all this stuff and she was like "He doesnt need it Sarah Jane, he will poo in the bed and we have tunnels" ......So I said "Oh, you want that tunnel taken from indoors to outdoors to alternate "turns" do you? And be brought into our new rented house all dirty and wet? Oh ok then" and she went really quiet! and then I went "And he might poo in his bed, but at least it wont be the floor!"
She went "Ill just be quiet shall i?" and laughed. hahahaha.
I have spent a fortune to be fair, BUT I havent done an online shop for the buns in well over a year, I normally just get the odd toy from the pet shops, because we make our own etc. So its okay they get spoiled.
The girls have some treats coming too of course. Cant forget them!

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
Hahaha yes I do! He has already informed me he is looking forward to being part of the house bunny crowd on HH. AKA getting posts about the random things he does haha.
He was so funny earlier I didnt feed him when I went in the craft room, as I was getting a box, and i was THEN going back to feed him. He basically stamped his feet in protest, whilst spinning around because he didnt know where i was. Always feed Domino FIRST.

I cant wait for his indoor cage to arrive, hopefully it will tomorrow. Just been to check on him and his ears are all cold, feel so mean! (not mean for the two rabbits ACTUALLY OUTSIDE - but they have each other, close as anything those two now )
Cant wait to have my little guy indoors. Love him

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
It arrived this morning, but I actually have nowhere to put it There is no room in the bedroom, so going to sort it out over the weekend or him. Seeing as we are packing to move, it makes sense to do a bit of packing and then move Domino

Re: Its all very expensive isnt it!
It is so easy and gives much pleasure spending on them doesn't it love. We all know on here just what you mean? Spoilt happy bunnies, just how it should be.
Everything is through the roof price wise, hubby goes shoping each day for what we need and I cannot believe some of the prices. Unfortunatley it applies to everything.
I am so glad for you that he is coming indoors, I can well understand how excited you are. Please keep us posted as to his antics.
Hugs
