Sparky - sore eye

My Huparents have just been shopping and when they got back they saw my eye had been all weepy and the fur around it was wet

They've had a good look and there was a hair in it which they managed to get rid of. Humum bathed it with salt water and they are going to see how it is in the morning. I did get a handful of medicinal plantain but it's going to take ages to wash the Hudad smell off (Humum refused to hold me - I have her trained at last )

Please can I have some vibes for it to be all better in the morning, not have to have a trip to the vets but still be given some more medicinal plantain just in case? Thankyou Hoppers

Princess Sparkykins, tell your humum that you not only need extra plantains for 3 days, but also need extra fenugreek crunchies until the day after Christmas! Can't risk it. Better give extra of both until the next year!

Thankyou Hoppers especially for the 'herbal medicine' advice - I have managed to persuade her that mini shredded wheat work in the mornings too

It does not look sore at all this morning, but a little bit watery and the fur around it is a bit flattened. Humum can't tell if that is because it is wet or because it has been wet as I won't let her get closer than 2 feet and Hudad is at work this morning. But she is not overly worried and as our vet is not working today she's just going to keep an eye on me over the weekend and if it still does not seem quite right by Monday will pop me in to see Claire.

Vibes from me that all continues to be well. I am sure loads more treats will help, have you tried dried cranberries?

Fingers crossed that your eye is better soon. You need both to keep any 'eye' on your huparents. I definitely think copious amounts of plaintain is needed.

I hope your vets appointment goes well Sparky and your poorly eye can be easily fixed

In the mean time I agree with Nickie, the huparents must provide you with whatever your little heart desires

I'm sorry I missed this Sparky. Sending lots and lots of vibes your way, I do hope you get on well at the vets today.

There doesn't seem to be anything much to worry about. No ulcer or damage. It was a lot drier today, and when the vet put the dye stuff in my eye it ran out of my nose which was charming because it is green and then when I wiped my nose I got green paws too but she said at least that shows nothing is blocked.

I'm hiding behind the sofa so Humum can't do a Sparky The Green-nosed Bunbun picture

I just have some eye drops to have for a few days to make sure there is no infection (good luck doing that twice a day, Humum )

And the vet said I have perfect teeth which she should know because I was chomping on her otoscope at the time
