The video looked good, and it sounds like they are progressing positively
Lots more positive bonding vibes
Never tell Buttons that I did giggle at him trying to mount Miffy and not quite managing it

Your secret safe with me! I have to admit I had to hold back laughter, but you gotta give him points for not being scared to go for it with a bunny twice his size!!
Ok so there has been a little chasing but no fur pulling and it has all diffused itself pretty quickly each time without me getting involved at all! At least with them in the bedroom I will hear if any nastiness goes on, but what do you all think I should do while I'm at work tomorrow?? Someone on facebook suggested separating them again while I'm at work, but is this not a backward step when there hasn't been any funny business tonight?

How's their body language when they're not chasing?
Any grooming of themselves or each other? How far apart are they and are they facing each other or turned away?

When their not chasing they seem happy together, cuddled up with each others faces into each others sides or generally just side by side! Sadly if I have to separate them I'm going to have to take this cage apart to build their cage in the lounge again because there really isn't room for a much bigger cage in the bedroom, especially 2 next to each other!! I'm not at work till 9 and ill come home at lunch to check on them, and my boyfriend finishes work at 3.30 so they won't be alone too long!
We've also had no chasing or scuffling all night! So fingers crossed they will be fine!

Well I just nipped home in my lunch break to check on them, and they were both sleeping and no sign of fur anywhere!
I sat and ate my lunch with them, then when I was leaving I picked my bag up, and it startled Miffy, so she ran and hid behind Buttons! So I think they are getting on quite well! touch wood it stays like that!

It does sound good
I think they are both going to be quite feisty buns for a while though, so the best advice I can give at the moment is to be very conservative and increase their space very gradually. I do think sometimes slightly tricky bonds turn out to be strong ones, so it will be worth the effort

Re: Bonding not going well! Advise please! UD: WE HAVE GROOMING!
SHE JUST GROOMED HIS ENTIRE HEAD!!
She did however than try and hump his head but she seemed to scare her self and ran of to the litter tray before hoping back out and then flopping on buttons' head!!
Since then she's been in the litter tray munching, buttons had a drink, he lay down she hoped back out and lay next to him all snuggled up!!
I don't want to get excited prematurely and it then go horribly wrong, but it's made me so happy I could cry!!

She just embarrassed herself by being too demonstrative
She'll settle down. It all sounds really good. Are they still confined to the small cage?

Yea they are still in the small cage, but I attached a run on today so they could run around and stretch their legs a bit, they ran around for about 2 mins, Miffy did a Binky or two before going and sitting back in their cage!
I had to get my boyfriend to amuse them for a little bit while I cleaned out their litter tray and changed the blanket, they haven't since wanted to come out again! They just like laying next to each other with the occasional lick of the others head!

Re: Bonding not going well! Advise please! UD: WE HAVE GROOMING!
Ugh, since I let them out to stretch their legs lastnight, Miffy now wants more freedom! She spent the entire night chewing the bars, ripping the new blanket and digging on the Lino! And as they are in the bedroom it means I've not had much sleep! I'm not sure how much longer I can keep them cooped up, but I don't think they are ready to be in a bigger cage yet! They like each other but still a little more to go before they have a solid bond I recon!

I hope so too rob, I've got meetings in Devon tomorrow so leaving mine at 6:45am tomorrow!! don't really want to go to meetings as a tired grump!!
I'm hoping the mound of new hay occupies them today! I did give them a toilet tube but it got instantly thrown in their water bowl, so out that came!
