Hughie and Rosies second date
I can't say much because i have to use my phone and its a nightmare when i want to use the forum. My laptop broke last night, and my phone is having a do with itself too. Anyway, Hughie will be going to his forever home on Monday with his new wifey bun, Rosie. Completely different now she is spayed and calmed down, its been a quick and easy bond so far. Hughie immediately put his head down for her to groom, but she refused. He has given Rosie lots of kisses though. They have been flopped out chilling out together. They are quite happy to share food and i have even given them a few toys to play with with no issues. There has been no humping, chasing or nipping this time either which is great and both bunnies seem so much less stressed this time around. Its so lovely to see them both so happy! Davie and Skyes playhouse has gone too, which was a bit sad, but Hughie and his wifey will get so much pleasure from it. Its not right to have it rot away in the corner of the garden. I have some picture

Re: Hughie and Rosies second date
Stupid phone! I have some pictures that i took on my phone but can't upload them until my laptop is fixed. Im now laid in bed watching my own bunnies, seems everybun is happy. Marley and Dolly are rolling over on their backs and taking it in turns to give each other kisses. Lol. Love is in the air in our house, maybe Cupid thought he would hang around after valentines day!

Re: Hughie and Rosies second date
It is very rewarding, and this is always my favourite part, when they bond and go off to their forever home. I remember what he was lik e 7 months ago and he is a completely different rabbit. Not scared, skinny and defensive, he is happy and inquisitive. He loves attention and he is slightly round now to. Mum has.been a lot more involved in looking after him, and has allowed him to over indulge a little, but its helped him get through this winter and Im sure he will loose it in spring. She said she is going to miss him coming to say hello to her on a morning and having a little chat! Mum has just come to Wake me up to say she found them both snuggled up together this morning!

Re: Hughie and Rosies second date
We're chuffed beyond words for Hughie - you know we have a special soft spot for him
I wonder if he met Rosie again and thought 'Ooooh, she is just like that bun I met the other week, but without the overwhelming perfume'
I'm really, really pleased he'll be off to his forever home with his new wifebun and the human that you have decided is good enough to look after him
It'd be nice to get updates now and then - I hope they all bring each other years of happiness. Well done to you, Sophia, for making this happen for that poor little guy who was cowering in that tiny cage

Re: Hughie and Rosies second date
Awww shucks! i only did what anyone would do in my position. The rescue wasn't suitable, and so i just gave him somewhere safe to stay until the right home came along. I foot know what id have done if it wasn't for mum and Sparky. Its just seeing him happy and ready to go on his way that makes all the stress and worry worth while.

Re: Hughie and Rosies second date
Isn't it great! We had some proper cuddles with him lark night and took lots of pics. I just can't upload them until i get my laptop fixed. Im going to drop him off tonight hopefully with mum, but she is working late. I need to get him there an hour or 2 before it gets dark to watch them for a little while. Mum will be so upset if she misses it. She has really bonded with him, as I've needed a lot of help from her over the last couple of months. Its just wonderful to see his real character, nothing like the scared, defensive bunny he was 7 months ago. I really don't think it would have worked out quite the same had i allowed him to go to the rescue .
