I don’t know how many times I have started this tribute to you Lucy Rose but I never seem to get so far for the tear’s and then I have to stop,
so here we go again.....

You came into our lives on the 12th September 2011 after reading a thread on this forum stating that your owners didn’t want you
and unless they could find a home for you soon they would dump you on the moors. You had been kept in a small Apex ark and there was no
door on the sleeping compartment and so you were open to the elements. That was your home and exercise for I don’t know how many years
but I saw the message and didn’t think twice of saying ‘We will have her’.

Mike collected you and we had made you a lovely big hutch up with lots of soft hay and a big dish of food and water and you were underweight
and somehow didn’t walk right.

We had you to the vet’s and you had muscle wastage in all four of your legs and a tumour in your abdomen. We had the tumour removed when
we had you spayed and luckily for you and for us the results of the biopsy said you were clear of any nasty tumours.

We eventually brought you into the kitchen as you needed to build the muscle up in those legs of yours and so you had access to the kitchen and
front room, you were so clean and eventually you built muscle up in your leg’s as they became stronger, we had only once ever seen you outstretch
your back legs and we were so happy and I took a photo of you under the kitchen table with your back legs outstretched, it was such a special moment
to us.

You just loved to be stroked and kissed and all our customers loved you and would say when they came to drop bunnies off ‘Where is she’! everyone
loved and adored you.

I had lost my bunny Cloud and then my precious Pud and I was at an all time low and then you came along and got me through it all, I loved you so
much , and every day at 3:00 pm you would come running in to the kitchen for your carrot cruncher treat and if I forgot you would stand there patiently
waiting. You were kind and gentle and just the sweetest rabbit anyone could wish for and although our time together was short it was filled with love.

Lucy Rose I will never ever forget you, I just wish we had been there from the start for you and given you a life that you so deserved to have and
not a life of being imprisoned and neglected as you were . We are so sorry that we couldn't make you better we tried so hard and if love could have
saved you , you would still be here.

I can’t write anymore now as the tears have started to flow but Thank You So Much sweetheart for making my life so much brighter and giving me a
reason to smile again in those darkest of days.


You are so missed and will be forever, love you to the moon and back my gentle sweet friend.

The video had me sobbing. You could see in the photos she went from a look of not being quite sure it was all real, to one of utter contentment

It seems particularly cruel that she was taken so suddenly after doing so well immediately after her op

I bet that last 18 months or so she had with you made up for the horrible start she had



Have fun at the Bridge, Lucy Rose - I can just picture you and Mrs D sitting side-by-side on hillock and smiling at the youngsters' antics. You were special and will never be forgotten

You did everything you could for her, she had such a wonderful time with you, you can just see from the photo's.
Nothing anyone can say will make things better, but she will be with you forever looking over you from rainbow bridge

That video made me well up.

Lucy Rose will never, ever forget everything that you and Mike did for her. You changed her life from one of total misery to utter contentment. She was the most beautiful, sweet natured bunny and she is, like Sparky said, up at the bridge supervising all of the antics alongside Mrs D!

She was such a special girl and she loved you as much as you did her.

She was so lucky to have had those 18 months in paradise, but I know that doesn't make it hurt any less.
