Vibes for poorly sick me please?

It had to happen. I had to get a poorly chest just in time for all the singing we do over Easter! We're singing 4 big services in the next 4 days, and my lungs are throwing a hissy fit

I made it through last night's service pretty well unscathed, but tonight we are having incense, which I am fairly certain will kill me

Please can I have some healing vibes? Tomorrow's service is the biggest, so if I could be well for that, it'd be great. And I need to be able to sing a top f tomorrow (as an alto, this is not a regular occurrence).

I've decided not to sing tonight - 2 hours in a church full of incense sounds like a recipe for A&E to me, so fingers crossed staying home and resting will make me ok for tomorrow. We're singing our best music tomorrow anyway.

I am currently beating myself up for not singing tonight. It's such a huge service tonight and I hate missing these services. And I love maundy Thursday.

don't sue because had you gone you would be in hospital come tomorrow and that is a very important one hun just try to get better and sing beautifully when you can do it without putting yourself at risk x

I know you're right rob, but the alto line is small, there are only 4 of us, and we've worked so hard on this music. Others sing when they're ill.

But I was a hair's breadth from a trip to a&e and time on a neb earlier, I know I've done the right thing staying home.

I've spent the evening resting and watching TV. Lungs not hurting too much, so hopefully the service tomorrow will be doable. Maybe just not the top F...

Not looking good for me singing today a normal service may have been doable, but Good Friday is so big and packed full of difficult music that I don't think I could manage. I've not missed a Good Friday since I joined the choir almost 10 years ago

I didn't sing. I went to the service though (coughed through it) and then went to pub with the choir, as is our tradition. Usually the **** up goes on late into the night, but not for me this year. Made it to 5.30 and now I'm exhausted, practically comatose.

Having a big rest now in the hope I can make it for the vigil tomorrow. It's a wonderful service, starting round a bonfire. Hopefully I'll be up to it.
