Dave Poorly - Vibes Urgently Required.

He had a squinty eye the other night, so I took him to vets next day and they said it was eye infection. Next day he had swelling in facce. Went back to vets and they said that it was thickened skin and put him on anti biotics. Last night the skin was swollen under his chin. We went in first thing this morning and they thought it was an abscess and took him in to drain it. They told me they thought it was connected to the bone. Anyway, they rang to say that when they opened him up, there was only thick skin and they think that it is cellulitis. He is home. I am so worried. His new owner is waiting to see what happens. I dont' want this gorgeous, plucky baby to die. He is on depocillen and septrin now. Please, do any of you know anythinig about cellulitis in rabbits?

Please send us all your vibes. This is such a lot for a baby to go through.

I wish I could find out more about the condition. I am just beside myself. He is just so incredible. To have been through what he has been through so far ... he deserves to be happy. The lady who wants to adopt him has sent a lovely message to us from her and Dave's new wife. They are rooting for him. I am just praying this gorgeous wee man will fight this, he has such a great life waiting for him.

Sending vibes for his recovery. Maybe Cellulitis has a better prognosis than an abscess, especially one on the jaw as Sooz will know.

Still none the wiser and neither is Sooz. However he has eaten and pooped and had his meds tonight. Fingers crossed. x

His face is bigger again today but he is eating really well. He is starting to hate me now though as he just associates me with medicine. I feel terrible. I am spending time just giving him loves but he is just afraid of me now. I feel so rotten.

Wow Jay thats good. He doesn't seem (touch wood) to be that ill. He is eating like a trooper, playing and pooping. But the swelling is still, there. I now look like a self harmer where we have had a falling out over medicine time. All in all he is seeming very well. Fingers crossed people. We are back at the vets on Tuesday. I just hope the outlook for this little guy is good!

Still the same today. The lump is neither bigger nor smaller. He is eating. pooping, leaping round and having cuddles..... back to the vets tomorrow.
