Hiya

I was quite decisive over whether I should take Molly to the vet about her sore hocks. I've put piccies of them on here so you can see the state of them. Do you think I need to take her to the vet? Her front feet have no fur, and are roughly in the same state as piccie 1.

When you press the skin, she doesn't flinch or anything. What do you think?

I really think she needs Flamazine Cream
I cannot recommend it enough, it has made such a huge difference to my Rexes with chronic hock problems.

Is this the cream you get from the vet? Does she need to see a vet urgently, or can it wait until next week, cos she's going in for her vaccs next week, and it'll save a bit of money doing it at the same time?

Personally I'd get her to the Vet this week. Flamazine is a prescription med.
To be honest I wonder if the Vet may suggest postponing the vaccination til the sore hocks are a bit better Hmmm

The vet gave us Fudiderm (spelling?) gel to put on twice daily for 5-7 days. Molly's very good at it being put on, which I'm very happy about. The vet said that the rabbits looked very well looked after and it was not my fault. Smile I felt so happy!!! It's such a good feeling to know that a vet thinks that you are a good bunny mummy!!! Smile I'll give you an update on if the gel works.

Update: Molly's hocks are looking a lot less red. I think she's feeling less sore too, as yesterday, she licked my nose for ages. She's never done that, only Milly has, so i think she's feeling a bit better. She loves having her gel put on too. She lies upright, and she falls asleep.

That's great news - and must make you feel good that you're helping - I always feel so helpless when one of my pets is ill, but when they start getting better it's a great feeling.

Hope Molly's hocks are fully better soon.
