Some vibes for Sparky please....u/d seems fine
I've just scared the poop out of Humum. She was watching me and when I got up I was all wobbly on one back leg and it sort of collapsed under me. I hobbled over and got up on my shelf and was laying a bit funny.
She decided it wasn't worth rushing to the vets as the duty vet is not likely to know much more about buns than her, and she considered running downstairs for the Panacur but decided to have a look at me first. The runaround I gave her as she tried to catch me made her feel a bit better, but she got me in the end and gave me a good look / poke over.
Our hay is very thistly / thorny at the moment and although we love eating it she has been a bit worried about somebun getting a thorn in their paw. She turned me upside-down and had a really good ruffle through the fur on my paws (and you can imagine how well that went down ) and since she put me down I have been quite normal again.
She is still quite sensitive about what happened to Taffy, so some vibes for me to be completely fine in the morning and bound into her bedroom to wake her up for breakfast at, say, 6am please
Also - opinions, is there any value in a 9 day course of just-in-case Panacur for me and Theo? We know some people do for all new buns, but Humum does really try to avoid giving me any meds, but EC is such a nasty bug.....

if she is worried i don't think there is any harm in taking extra precautions!
even if you did give her the runaround, im sure she is just thankful she didnt get widdled on
get well soon vibes for sprakys feets

Oh no I hope it was just a thorn that got you, Sparky. We can't have you unwell little lady!
Remember what I said to you before, everything your humum does is for your own good.
Fingers crossed you're back on top form tomorrow.

Sending vibes that you either had a dead leg from sleeping too much or are just an attention-seeking little drama queen!
Seriously though, it is such a worry to have a bun who has a chronic illness, it must make you hyper about absolutely anything. Fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about.

Re: Some vibes for Sparky please....u/d seems fine
Oh no I'm not having this ! the worry stone that I am carrying about with me now will soon be worn away
Sending " Hope it was just a bit of bunny cramp and that Sparky will be up and about tomorrow and bounding about and waking Humum up at 6:00am" Vibes xxxxxx
I think unless you know Sparky has E.C I wouldn't bother giving her a course of Panacur but if you did it shouldn't do any harm. We sometimes give new buns we take in a course just to be on the safe side especially if we don't know much about their background.
Helen and Baby Saint have had a 21 day course of Panacur as they both have E.C and they will get a booster top up in a couple of months time.

Oh goodness, I really hope this is nothing and just a dead leg.
I don't think that a course of panacur can hurt, given what happened to Taffy.
How is she this morning?

I agree, a course of panacur will do no harm and may make all the difference.
Lots of vibes for Sparky

Loads of vibes that Sparky is back to normal this morning.
I echo Maysie in that if you are going to give Panacur I would give for longer than 9 days. Panacur doseage is always under discussion but I seem to think that the latest feeling is that 9 days worth is neither here or there

Re: Some vibes for Sparky please....u/d seems fine
Well, Humum got her 6am wake-up call and I seem absolutely fine this morning
She think I had probably just laid on it funny or pulled a muscle, especially as it was only one side. She's going to keep a close eye on me today.
I didn't nip her (I never have, I don't do nipping) and couldn't widdle on her due to being upside-down and I only do the sort of drama-queening that gets me extra treats, not picked up.
Thanks for the magic vibes, Hoppers

Re: Some vibes for Sparky please....u/d seems fine
so glad you are ok Sparky!
I thought that EC can survive in wee and on surfaces for a month, so a full months course of panacur should be done.
We have used lapizole in the past, I think this is the same active as panacur (fenbendazole) but is marketed for EC and its dose is over a whole month.
Myrtle was sad when the course was over as she used to eat it soaked into a small piece of weetabix.
