Post pics of your first bun
If you can! Or at least the first bun that got you into rabbit!
Here is Bugsy.... he came to me from the same friend that didn't want the kittens He was 7 when I got him. It was love at first sight. I knew nothing about rabbits and has researched as much as I could. We laid together on the sofa and he licked me..... that is the first thing that happened. We laid like that for abou 2 hours. It was total love... he was a very special heart bun and one I will never forget. I miss him so much. I used to live in a 3 storey house and the lounge (which was where all his things were set up) was upstairs. If he had been out in the day during the summer, I would go down to the back door and tell him it was bedtime and he would hop in, along the corridor and up the stairs to the lounge! Never seen anything like it! He also used to like sharing the cats water from their bowl (always tasted better than his own). He was amazing. At nearly 9 years old an abscess got him and resisted all treatment. There was nothing I didnt' try and our very own Jane was on hand for me to phone, to help me through the whole thing. He passed away at home, with me, just as the vet arrived to put him to sleep. He knew I couldn't make that decision. He was a very special bun.... enjoy the pics!
His fave place - infront of the fire.
Treats Momma?!

Re: Post pics of your first bun
not much change really, hes not very happy, he lunges at me and bites my feet whenever i got into the utlity room, and a few months ago i could say he had neve ever bitten me, i think giving him the meds has damaged our bond.
but whenever he goes out into the run he still binkies
hes still on his panacur abut i havent manged to get any scales yet
i cnt believe how different they look

Awww hun I'm sure you will be able to build the bond again when he is feeling better. Its a good sign that he's still binkying around his run. I hope he makes a speedy recovery soon.
Do the vets know what was causing his weightloss?

My first bunny - the lovely Miss Mollie
redecoration of the kitchen time
- helping with the gardening
My lovely Mollie, we got her aged about 3 or 4 6 years ago, and she was an absolute gem who loved humans, and children. Brought lots of smiles to some of the kids faces at the school I work in part time when I ever I took her in.
Sadly she got ill in September last year, and after fighting for a while we knew it was time to let her go. She still loved me no matter what I did to her, how much medication, how many times I had to syringe her, and spent her last few days living in my room with me.

Re: Post pics of your first bun
Russel the first bunny I fell in love with.
Russel was my grumpy lickly phsyco Bunny, but he only hated other Bunnies, he loved me dearly. Sadly he was sold to me as a 7 or 8 year old Bunny rather then the 8week old Bunny he was meant to be. He was a handsome boy and was devoted to me, would follow me and when I moved to Aberdeen from Inverness he "helped" me pack (of course he was moving too but a few toys takes less to pack then a few years of stuff) he was my angel and is always in my heart. He is currently peacefully lain to rest inmy o/hs parents garden with a rose bush that has just sprouted red buds
To Russel, my Baby.

Re: Post pics of your first bun
I have to say my bond with Lexie was damaged when I was syringing her Baytril everyday and she is even less pleased about the injectable form but I think we have reached a compomise, Medicine = Carrot Crunchie
I don't have pictures of my childhood rabbit Honeycombe but the rabbit that gor me into buns as an adult is my mini-lop cross Fiver who I brought from a petshop just over 3 years ago:

Re: Post pics of your first bun
I had rabbits as a child and am ashamed to say that they were forgotten garden bunnies.
My first bun as an adult was Rory. During the summer I worked on a childrens farm/ petting zoo. There were loads of rabbits there that were not very well cared for and I so wanted to take all of them home, however a friend of mine who worked in the rabbit section said he would sneak one out for me if I wanted. Anyway, it was all very cloak and dagger and he met me one day with a brown box containing the most adorable white, little bundle of fluff. It was love at first site! I spent a small fortune on him so he was all ready for his new home. He arrived and Jason, who tried to act all tough, fell in love too. He quickly became our entertainment, we would spend hours watching him binkying, flopping and peeing ( ) around the house.
After Rory I was hooked and got two more but he is my baby. I wasnt expecting a bunny to be so loving and cheeky. He grooms me all of the time and often jumps on my knee and stick his head in what ever I am eating.
