Having a rant
On one of the stuff for sale pages on facebook there are a number of animals being sold, which I msg admin asking them to not allow this. A young woman is selling baby lops, their show bunnies, which does not proove to me that there needs have been met or that they are educated/educating needs to buyers or themselves, just because there show animals does not mean they are properly cared for, they are kept clean and washed all the time but are not always happy, and once they have lost a few shows they either dump them, tell pets@home to come get them or snap their necks, I had a long confo with lady that deals with rescues in our local store, she is a friend as well, she told me the local breeders do this on a monthly basis but no matter how many times shes reported them sspsa do nothing because the containers there stored in ( like a product grrr) are clean. She had one who had a condition that only cost £2.50 a month on treatment he wanted it out because it wasnt making him money, makes me sick. Trying not to have a rant on this page, it will only get me banned, I however did say I hope you are educating buyers on there needs. Probs waste of time, half dont care.

Re: Having a rant
Why rant here Lynn if you've not reported them to FB? Surely it is against the rules of Facebook?

Re: Having a rant
On my own page we advertise rescues, give advice and when animals are up for rehoming from individuals we help them with home checks, questions they should ask advise they ask for a rehoming fee to ensure an animal doesnt end up as bait or being sold on for profit (pet pedallers) I don't allow breeders on my page. We keep an eye out for persistant offenders, scammers and have reported puppy farmers in the past aswell. We don't allow stud posts etc. This is my own rules on my page so we have a high standard on my page some may not agree but its there to keep the animals from harm as are the homechecks. Sometimes people have to rehome and they don't want them to go into a rescue. We have in the past helped people who had problems and had to rehome but with help they managed to keep their pets we give advice, I always make a point of a getting pets spayed/neutered.
