Fuming and need to rant

I pay £160 for soundwaves cremation paid through the vet.
I get the insurance details in they have taken off £125 for the cremation.
I phone the insurance company and ask if they have paid anything towards the cremation, she says no. I ask if that is a true figure she checks the itemised billing and says yes.

I call my vets and ask the receptionist do they charge a admin fee to arrange the cremation, told to hold the line. A nurse then comes on and asks exactly what is it i want to know so i ask again do they charge a handling fee for arranging cremation. She says no. I ask why there is a price difference between what i was charged and what they have told the insurance company. Nurse goes er er er i dont deal with the insurance i would have to get soemone to call you back and hangs up.

Either they have made an honest mistake or im getting fiddled. Im going to be a cow and go for the fiddle due to behaviour on call.

Oh sweetie, as if it isn't a distressing enough situation, you don't need this, it is a disgrace. I too would treat it as a fiddle; have these people no idea of how distressing something like this is and how they are adding insult to injury? Please let us know how you get on hunni and I am sending lots of cuddles.

The isurance company says it the casket that cost extra but the figures are thw same so if it was the casket surely the insurance one would be less xx

£160 ... wow, that's pricey. I know its about nine months ago put when I lost Henry my bill was £120 and that was for vet coming out to pts, the cremation, casket and plaque/engraving.
I'd certainly be querying it. You don't need all the stress at such a time.
I hope they sort it out without too much fuss.

I agree with you Gemma darling and I am sorry you are going through this. I think this is something that should be brought to the attention of the top people in the insurance company but sometimes you just want something sorted with no fuss. Please keep us informed but I think you have been treated disgracefully.

So dynamic duo went to get a check up yesterday and i was told i had £35 of credit on the account
I was right all along i had paid to much.
Sorted and all.happy now xx

That sounds more like. Glad it's sorted.

I am glad to hear it Gemma love. Holly went to the vet yesterday for her teeth check up and clipped claws, we had some on account too so it didn't cost us anything as such.

How is holly getting on?
Thundercracker has alopecha(spelling) brought on by stress and a bad molt. Just glad it no mites.

Holly is fine thank you love, passed teeth with flying colours and she now has nice neat nails. Poor Thundercracker, please give him a cuddle from his auntie Jo Jo. Bad molts can be dreadful for them.
