Vet time!
It was like a blimming circus!
Domino was up first, and he leapt ONTO his carrier from the table. Nicole (vet) was like "clearly you are feeling better!" she couldnt believe how well he is doing, and she said his e.c hasnt had any knock on effect to the rest of his body, no signs or arthritis or anything. She was concerned that with him being six years old, that the E.C would "age" him quicker, but hes absolutely fine. He had his Myxi jab, she didnt want to give him the combi, and she said of course it was a risk, but because myxi is so rife in this area, that she felt it was a good idea, and I agreed. So we will see how he gets on in the next 24 hours, see if he has any side effects.
Jelly leapt out of the carrier, and also jumped onto the top of hers and Pebbles carrier, and then thumped which scared the poop out of Pebbles! She then jumped off, and ran to the scales and hopped on and waited, and then thumped again, as if to say "check my weight then humans". Nicole said that Jelly is the picture of health and she gave her a real thorough check and said she was amazed that despite her being seven years old she isnt showing any signs of aging whatsoever, and if she didnt know how old she was she wouldnt think she was seven
Then it was Pebbles turn. Yep, she also jumped onto the top of the carrier. Her teethies are a bit long, same two as it was in 2011 when she had a dental then, but Nicole said she is fine at the moment and she doesnt want to put her under unless its really needed. so we monitor her weight, and if she drops then she will have one, if she doesnt, then we will just keep an eye out.
Got back home and Domino leapt out of his carrier, thumped on the floor and collapsed in his cage in a dramatic fashion, with "woe is me" eyes. I open the drawer where the food is, and take out the dried apple and he RUNS over so fast and starts ripping my leggings trying to get some, so he is clearly feeling okay!
