Pickles is litter trained and has been for some time.  He does 99% of his weeing in his litter box which is great and he drinks gallons so there is lots of it!Shocked

However, over the last week or so, a few times he has been weeing in his room and just sitting in it.  Its not just a dribble its like a puddle. He doesn't just do it in one spot so thinking of leaving his litter tray in his cage but I have no idea why he does it.  It leaves him sopping.

Anyone come across this before, any ideas would be great?

I've never experienced this but you might want to get him checked out by a vet - it could possibly be a UTI.

Willow does this as a hormonal thing but I know that's because she's unspayed and she goes through 'territorial' cycles, but I wouldn't imagine that's Pickles' problem since he is neutered(?).

I would leave his litter tray in his cage and then he knows he has one spot to go in Thumbs Up

I agree.

You may want to get his blood sugars checked as well as excess drinking and urination can be linked to this.

I would let the vet check him Alex just to be on the safe side as he does sound as if he has a Urinary tract infection and he could end up with urine scald if he is sitting in his urine.

Let us know how you go on, sending Vibes for Pickles xxxxx

sometimes Myrtle wont get to her litter tray, it usually happens when she is too tired. She seems to sit in it and is reluctant to move.  I think it's because she is trying to hide it from us as we put vinegar on it. She doesn't get too soggy though as it soaks into the carpet No

I hope you figure out why Pickles is having problems. lots of vibes for you and Pickles Hugs
