My Charlie B :-( home and happier :-)
On friday he was really really wet around his chin and chest. He has been in the vets this weekend and John is going to be looking at him today to find out what the cause is,
The poor little chap is so poorly. What with his abscess and now his liver - im praying this is just teeth.
Keep your fingers crossed for him guys. This is all so unfair. He's not even 3 yet.

Gypsy get's like that when he has a dental spur he is usually soaked all round his chin and on his chest where it's dripped with saliva.

Re: My Charlie B :-( home and happier :-)
Ive heard from John and it was a dental spur
Im wondering if this is why ive had so much trouble getting him to eat on his grass diet - hopefully it will be easier now.
Ive got so much on at work I cant go get him until tomorrow and im feeling just terrible about it.

I'm glad to hear it was "just" a spur! Phew!
Don't beat yourself up, Katie. You know he's in good hands where he is and I bet they spoil him rotten just like you do

I thought it might be as that's how we know now when Gypsy is ready for a dental as he get's the same way.
Oh don't feel terrible about it as it just can't be helped we sometimes can't get Gypsy in straight away to get his
spur sorted it happens
If we lived near enough we would have taken him for you, but don't worry xx

Oh, poor Charlie. He is always going through the wars, isn't he?
I'm so glad it was only a spur.
Don't feel bad about not being able to get him. Next to being with you, he is in the best possible hands with the vets

I'm glad it was 'only' a toothy.
You just know Charlie is being spoilt rotten by all those nurses, then he gets to come home and guilt you into extra fuss and attention - he'll be fine

Thanks Maysie I wish you were too....
Sometimes I really could do with some physical help - the vibes and support here is priceless, but sometimes I wish I had a little help.
Cannot imagine how you manage with so many xx

So glad it was 'just a spur'. Thankfully that is something that is fairly easily sorted out. They do like to keep you on your toes.

It is hard work and sometimes when we are going to bed at 3:00am in a morning we wish we had help but we have got a girl coming soon
who is doing a course on animal studies and has asked us if she can come and help us for her course work and we said 'Yes'
We have done this for so long we don't know anything else but we do get day's when we would love to just get up and sit and relax

Re: My Charlie B :-( home and happier :-)
We went and collected Annie and Charlie last night and he seems much brighter. I'm really hoping to have n some more success with the grass and hay diet now that I know the teefs are better.
Wish me luck!
Charlie said thank you for the vibes but there really isn't any need for the massive amount of cuddles he got yesterday when I passed them on.... Ungrateful beast :-)

I'm glad he is home
What was the verdict on him having forage other than hay and grass? We can send you half a birch tree if you like
