Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
Hello friends
I am a member of the South West Hpper Group which currendly has about 5 members.
We take it in turns to host meetings which are held roughly every three months, where we discuss anything topical about bunnies and try and decide who we can approach with regard to holding a rabbit awareness day. During these events people come in and we can help with the real care of a bun. So far we have done about 4 Pets at Home and a couple of other places.
Anyone else in the area would be so welcome but I know there are not many of us down here. I am trying to plan another meeting very shortly but a couple of ladies have difficulties making the meetings because of other commitments so I am trying for a date which is OK for us all.
Anyway we are a determined and happy group and we welcome new members.
Hugs

Re: Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
Thanks Jo for hosting today. It was a lovely meeting, and great to meet Maria and Paul from Maria's animal shelter. And apologies to everyone else on the forum, I completely failed to take any photos of Binky. Binky is the only bun who I have ever met who, despite having his home invaded by 5 strangers still put on a wonderful display of binkies around the footstool. And he was very thorough in licking everyones trousers, nibling everyones shoes and demanding nose rubs.

Re: Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
You are so welcome Cheryl love, I certainly enjoyed it very much. Binky sends lots of noserubs and wonders when his aunties and uncles are going to come again LOL!! I am very proud of him, he doesn't even mind kiddies.

Re: Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
Well we have had another meeting at Jo and Paul's. We all had a lovely time. Just to let everyone know that if you wish to come along and meet us we will be at Pets at Home in Plymouth on the 12th April from 10.30 to about 3.30.
And there are pics today. Binky and Holly are still working things out in their hierarchy but here they both are.
Binky knows no fear and everyone was well greeted and chinned.
And Holly wanted to join in the tea party

Holly is much friendlier than Flo, but they do share some characteristics.

Re: Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
Just to update you all. The we did an awareness day in the Plymouth PAH store today and had some decent conversations with some of the shoppers and handed out quite a few Hop to it booklets (and we may be invited back for RAW week). We are also hoping to have a table on the Sunday of Duchy College's Open weekend and food festival at Stoke Climsland on 22nd June.

Aww Jo, it's so lovely to see photos of your buns - Holly is gorgeous and so funny seeing if there's anything for her on the table at your meeting! And Binky was just absolutely adorable - he sounds amazing and so full of fun, I really am so sorry he's not still here with you. xx

Re: Plymouth/Cornwall Hopper Group
It seems a long time since this thread was updated. We have met since last April but obviously didn't update.
Well the hopper group met today at the Saltash member's house. We had a new member which is always exciting. And we are planning an awareness day over Easter weekend, we will meet in socially after that and will plan to attend the duchy college food festival and open weekend at Stoke Climsland in the summer.
