Tiny Thomas Thursday night.

Took these Thursday night of Thomas just after Mike had given him his meds. He is doing ok but very small and skinny. When he's finished on his meds we are going to get his bloods tested as Coccidiosis can cause liver and kidney damage.

Oh, Tiny Thomas has stolen my heart  for sure!  I just love him!  He's so tiny and
just perfect!  Just look at that little face!  Those big, brown soulful eyes.  I'm smitten!

Oh Lord yes he never stops eating now Katie but he is drinking an awful lot of water and it worries me I'm hoping it's because of the heat and nothing else.

Thomas is a cute little bunny and I think you always have a bit of a soft spot for the runt of a litter. I won't forget the day when they were all in their play pen and suddenly Thomas screamed and they had attacked him and took a chunk out of his side Bless him I think we sort of treat him like the baby of them all

Theo drank loads for ages and when he went in for his vaccine they discussed it with the vet. He said that if he seemed fine in every other way it was probably not worth doing bloods etc. but to do so if he ever seemed unwell. He's now not drinking nearly so much and Humum wonders if he might have had a slight infection but that his own  immune system has managed to deal with it.

I think a lot of the worries is that coccidiosis can leave them with kidney and liver damage and very few bunnies with it from what I hear make it to their third Birthday I truly hope that this is wrong and was maybe the problem years ago when medicine was not as good as it is now and vet's maybe not knowing much about it as they do now . I think with the right care and the correct medicine you can achieve miracles sometimes.

You absolutely can! I mean goodness - how on earth Charlie and Annie are still here I have no idea!
