Need tips/help/advice on checking Dougals wound

Hi HH

I need to check dougals wound later and at least twice a day til he goes back for post op check up too as you all know this from your buns being neutered/spayed. I just need a bit of advice and hints on how to go about checking Dougals wound as he will ot let me pick him up and it is difficult to get to see under there. I know periscoping is  a way but dunno if that is a good idea just yet, any more tips as well as that please? would be much appreciated.

Getting him to periscope a little while you have your head on the floor should be ok, just don't get him to stretch up too high.

Oh I don't know Hun - I picked the daisy monster up when he has his. I'm guessing a small periscope might be ok?

Then it is going to have to be a small periscope then I gues, trouble is it is well hard to get him to dot hat long anough too.

If not I will have to figure something out.

Yep amanda you do, you know he is a dalring but does not do well with things like examintaions and lifting, as you have witnessed yourself.

If only he would let me do that, then it would be perfect.

try holding a treat in the air a little to get him to periscope a little  

I tried this a few times each day ut he is a monkey,he knows I want to check it so he wont hold it for long and I do not get chance to see anything and I am sure he is periscoping tons always turned away from me and stuff to wind me up, he has also been jumping aorund on boxes etc and like I said periscoping when I cannot get near him etc tons, I just get abit worried in case he hurts himself but he seems fine. i do hope tomorrow is okay at the vets and he is healed.
