This weather
Is driving me nuts, floppy & floppette dont have a covered run, they poo & pee outside, even tho they have litter trays, they hardly use, but because its raining more & more the poo it turning to mush before I can get a chance to sweep it up, they run throught it so are getting mucky paws, I end up having to scrape it away, do you think covering the run with clear plastic or tarp would help, I really need to build their run, but paragon (housing association) were meant to be out to measure the out side ready for re rough casting, they have started on the other properties down the road but as usual because we are the only 1 left in the posh side (everyone else bought their properties in the 80s) we either get left till last (by then their money has usually ran out) or it gets contracted with the alloa properties. No point in starting it then they appear, so better call find out why the hell am still waiting. Really need to build their proper covered run. What I would love to do is bond all 5 of them in a group and build 1 big house where the 2 play huts are. Next summer I plan to move them into temp accomodation and rebuild their run, might have the shed emptied out turn it into 2 separate enclosures (if its not falling to bits) and get rid of the old play huts.

Re: This weather
We have has the most horrible torrential rain today - was quite scary driving in it earlier. There has been a mini twister just up the road from me too.
The buns are miserable about it.

Re: This weather
We had lots of thunder at lunchtime. The lights were flickering. I had a chicken roasting in the oven and was just praying that the electric wouldn't go off. Luckily it didn't so I have not given myself food poisoning.

Managed to nip out in between heavy pours, had to use the box shovel to get everything then hosed it down, they werent happy at being locked in, pair o dafties are soaked & mocket hopefully they gave themselves a good clean while they were waiting to get back out. Will have to go out twice a day and clear it so doesnt get to bad again, was 2 days ago I done it but looked like week had gone by.

Re: This weather
We drove up to Scotch Corner today... Left home... lovely and sunny.... drove through rain, wind, more rain, sun,rain.... then got back to sun again..... but throwing it down now
Not one of my bunnies will set paw out in the rain...
my cat thinks it my fault its raining... and goes from door to door expecting the weather to be different out of a different door
My horse walks in sideways... even if its only drizzling
And yet Buddy my dog loves to run in it... yet wont walk through puddles
Yes.... Ive an odd lot here

Re: This weather
Oh dear
The weather's gross here, too. I was at Alton Towers yesterday and we ended up getting stuck in a hailstorm
It's in weather like this that I'm so glad the buns are back indoors, if it only means I don't have to drag myself out in it to feed them
