Broken bunnies :(
When we first put the Christmas tree up Molly and Junior were a complete pain! They beat it up, they pulled the baubles and stars off it, we didn't dare switch the lights on! But then they settled down and would just lie under it, as can be seen in my avatar.
Fed up looking at it, I got up yesterday and took it down. They're absolutely gutted They keep lying where it was, like it's still there, with these sad looks on their faces I don't think Junior in particular is ever going to forgive me!
Bless my OH. When I started taking it down he said to me "have you told Junior you're taking it down?"

You could put it back up without the decorations, then it's not a Christmas tree so no bad luck and you'll be back in favour

Did you check under them? They definitely look like they're hiding something.

I would be lying if I said it didn't cross my mind for a split secondFather Jack wrote:You could put it back up without the decorations, then it's not a Christmas tree so no bad luck and you'll be back in favour
Hmm... There was nothing under them but perhaps they are trying to divert my attention from something.cheryl'n'bruce'flo wrote:Did you check under them? They definitely look like they're hiding something.

They do look sad. Incredibly sad. And most people say rabbits are incapable of showing emotions....of course WE all know they do!

Re: Broken bunnies :(
Ha ha, Sasha was like that last Christmas too. She spent ages underneath it and was completely confounded when it disappeared!
Your two do look very disappointed and I think that there might be a price to pay for that. Good luck!

Oh bless them, they wonder where ther new play thing has gone. Ours was behind a barrier so they couldn't get to it but I remember a time when it wasn;t and the tree came over

Re: Broken bunnies :(
Jo, mine was behind a barrier too, but Barley and Sasha just beat it to pieces and forced their way in. Then they just lay underneath it and nibbled it a little. They behaved themselves so I let them have free access.
Definitely genetic!

Unfortunately, Barley has passed away now so Sasha is just herself. I do plan to get her a partner in the Spring, but as she was so completely HORRIBLE to Barley, I will be taking my time to ensure she gets the right bun!

It's a pity the SSPCA don't do bonding for you. I think it's a safe assumption that they'd say no to bunny dating tooNickieM wrote:jolovesbunnies wrote:Oh Nickie love, your buns are in a class of ther own, talk about clever; they sound wonderful.

Re: Broken bunnies :(
I did ask them when I got Barley but they said that they didn't like other rabbits coming in due to risk of illness.
I might ask again and get them to check with my vet about her vaccinations. Either that or I agree that I will take the bun back if she hates him. They might prefer to let me take her along so they don't get a bun back.

Re: Broken bunnies :(
I can understand the illness point of view, it does make sense. Especially that time we met there because they didn't vaccinate for VHD then. Might be different now if they're using the combi, which they surely are!!
Hopefully they can accommodate your needs somehow!
