Bananas
Are bananas ok for bunnies to eat? Two books have given me differing opinions, but bunny loves them ( i have only given her tiny bits) Any advice gratefully received

Re: Bananas
Yes, they are fine as a bunny treat in small amounts.

Re: Bananas
Personally I dont agree with feeding Bananas to Buns due to the high sugar content which can cause serious gut problems is some Rabbits.
I tend to only feed my Buns food types they'd eat in the wild

I give Rory and Lola a small amount every now and then, they go mad for it but Rory gets it stuck all over his chin. Mimi isnt so keen.

Re: Bananas
It can be fed in small amounts as a very occassional treat however as a general rule mine never get fed any fruit, carrot is a sweet treat for them.

Ditto. Mine go absolutely bananas for it (sorry, couldn't resist ) but I don't give it often.
It's tempting though, what with the adorable noises they make when eating it!
As a general rule fruit is an occasional treat.
Re: Bananas
I once offered a few of my Buns some 'nana and they all ignored it.
