Good news, good news, good news!
Louise has managed to bond Hollie and Bobbin
After 9 months of living alongside each other they are now in the same pen. I have no idea why the bonding has now worked. Maybe Hollie has decided that she doesn't want to be on her own and decided to accept Bobbin, maybe Bobbin is more confident, or maybe because they trust Louise and she carried out the bonding they have decided to trust each other. Louise was able to stop any anti-social behaviour on the part of Hollie by speaking firmly to her. Either way I am so happy that Bobbin at last is no longer on his own. As far as we know he has never lived with another rabbit in his eight years. And of course Hollie has another partner after her horrid time last year after losing Herbie and then being ousted from the threesome.
I am so very proud of Louise for achieving this. I went round last night and we altered their pen by putting a shelf in and then sat and watched them. Hollie groomed Bobbin's head and he had a tentative lick of hers. They then pinched veg out of each other's mouths. It was brilliant to see. They are not snuggle buns as yet but we hope as their confidence and trust grows that this will come with time.
I am convinced too that Bobbin looks a different rabbit. He seems to have a look in his eye that wasn't there before. I am just so so happy for Louise and the bunnies and hope they have plenty of time together.

Well done, Louise I know how much Hollie and Bobbin have been frustrating you, Sixer And all along all it needed was a Stern Voice. You should have borrowed my Humum
Don't be surprised if there is a bit of a scuffle yet, but don't be in too much of a hurry to split them up if it does happen...
