Billy has a cut up the side of his nail

I noticed on Saturday that billy seemed to have a problem with his front paw and on sunday it was a panic visit to the vets as he started holding it up
and licking it furiously. The examination showed a small cut right down the side of the nail. He had his nails cut 3 days before and he is such a fighter
he had to be taken in the back so a nurse could hold him, which is stressful enough. I have no idea how this has happened and I've been so worried
all night thinking it could get infected. vet says it doesn't look like there is any infection. He has had metacam injection and an anti-inflammatory
injection and the wound was cleaned with a disinfectant but I was so stressed I didn't ask what the anti-inflammatory was.

He is eating really well, not lost his appetite, he's quiet, just wants to lie quietly. I'm keeping his area very clean so no germs are about and
I'm taking him back on Wednesday. He is very jumpy after his trauma so we are trying to be very quiet around him.

It really shakes you up when they are poorly even the minor things are traumatic.

Oh sweetie,  I think he will be just fine.  Little ones are good at fighting off infections, sometimes better than us in fact.  When Holly has her claws clipped, she has to go around the back for the same reason, she turns into a Ninja and could quite easily hurt herself so it takes three of them to do it.

Yes sweetie, they know how to worry us but if he is eating, I don't think you have much to worry about,   Please keep us updated and I am sending lots of loving vibes.

It is amazing and frightening how we react when one of the furry fellows ain't well. 
Give him a nose rub and a great for being such a brave bun.
It might have been when his nails were cut but could also occur as an accident when the claw gets caught in something.

hi billy is binkying about. Something tells me his paw isn't bothering him! He's off for a claw check up tomorrow. He's getting hugs
and kisses by the dozen and lapping it up. Just panicking because we are off on holiday on Saturday for a few days and I was worried I couldn't
leave him. I was trying to post a couple of photo's of him yesterday but I don't know how to do it.
He's the only bun I've had that's had to be taken in the back for treatment, he's a terror but a loveable one

I am so glad he is getting back to his old self love and you will enjoy your few days away.  Holly is the sweetest bunny, she loves everyone who comes in but when it comes to the vet, she too has to be taken "around the back" LOL!!

Vets given Billy's claw the all clear, scabbed over, not swollen. All set for hols this morning
and billy is into everything, totally hyper while we are waiting for the time we can set off to
ensconce him in boo boo's bunny hotel!!!!
Just like a naughty child ha ha ha ha.
