Bubbles
Kept me on my toes for the last month or so.
I found her unable to move dragging hinds and bottom behind her on a Sunday evening and I was supposed to go for night duty at this time.
Needles to say canceled my night and booked emergency appointment with vet instead.
Fearing the worse got to the vet which is our regular vet providing 24 hour service. Thanks for that!
Patrick listened looked and examined.
First fear of neurological cause was deterred as she move legs but not weight bearing
He found a strange structure in her tummy and asked could she have eaten something wrong?
My Bubbles will chew anything wrong if left longer then 30 seconds.
So he gave her metacam and metocloperamide and ordered her back in the morning for x ray and ultrasound
Result a structure in her tummy looking like multiple filled bubbles, must be in the name, concealed by skin or tissue. Not a cyst but something else. Could be gas meaning severe bloat or something she has eaten??
In the meantime I found that monkey had chewed parts of the fabric that covered the hidey whole from a cat scratch post that I had given to the last year. Not in the front where I would see it. No on the corner attached to her hutch/ bedroom. Dark blue fleece velvet kind of stuff. Got stripped down to plain wood. All card board removed....
She remains on metacam and. Metocloperamide reducing the dose steadily keeping her guts working.
And me!
She is eating hay and I reduced pellets and greens to encourage her to do so.
Which meant poor Vernon is getting the result too.
He wasn't impressed of being invited to the vet visit 2-3 times a week and was sulcking like hell.
What wouldn't you do for the love of your life?

Re: Bubbles
phew!
Glad you found out what was wrong, and hope it clears her system soon. They certainly manage to keep us on our toes!
Hope Vernon forgives her for dragging him to the vets haha! He's probably calling her all the names under the sun now.. 'i told you it was stupid, you thought you were clever eating it out of sight where she couldn't see you, now look what's happened and she insists on dragging me along with you... self inflicted that's what it is....'

Re: Bubbles
Free cycle that's exactly the look on his face most times. He has gone shy a little and now having Dillon I'm sure he smells and senses the other buck.
Need to make sure there is lots of private time between us two.

She seems fine
