Possessive bunny lazy bunny
So soundwave has be decided to be possessive over his food, don't really blame him jetfire has decide that having munched food is better than chewing herself.
They do have their own bowls at breakfast and know which one is theirs, but veggie time jetfire wants whatever soundwave has got. If I give her a veggie she won't take it she expects me to hold it, one lazy Madam.
He gets grumpy with her and now he gets grunty when anyone near him while eating, a firm no snaps him out of it.
They do like to have you worrying
Xxx

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
Indeed they do love and they always want what the other bunny has, my guinea pigs are the same. Ha ha, I love how she has you hand feeding her, just loves the attention and the feeling of being waited on lol!! Naughty boy grunting at you when he has his food, I am glad he takes notice when you say "No."

Yeah you need to see the look I get when I let go off it lol she wasn't like that when she first arrived so I must have done something to encourage it

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
I'd be wary that this is the start of bigger problems. I wouldn't tolerate this behaviour, it could very well escalate.
Maybe feed them in separate rooms and don't hold Jetfire's food for her. Start stroking Soundwave while he's eating.

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
Holly knows her name but doesn't take a blind bit of notice when I shout "no." If dad does however, it usually works lol! Bunny dirty looks are the best, I have had a fair amount of those in my time.

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
All my buns have ignored No. I just shout "Oi" at Henry ... that works. Doesn't stop the daggers flying though, he could kill with one of those looks.
Your right, rabbit dirty looks are unsurpassed. And their sulking ... oh my, can they sulk! Clawed could sulk for days if I displeased her. She would hop, nay, flounce away from me, sit with her back to me with that nose in the air sort of look that clearly said, "See if I care!". It was funny to see but after a while the "silence" got really awful. I hated her sending me to Coventry, but she did several times, mainly because she was jealous of my dog, Misty. Once a cousin visited with dog treats for Misty and proceeded to feed her. She had brought nothing for Clawed (she knew nothing about rabbits). Clawed watched Misty scoffing the goodies then when nothing came her way she did her flounce and sulk. It went on for two days, she would have nothing to do with me and I was really miffed as it hadn't been me showing Misty favours. Rabbits!

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
They are amazing aren't they Woodwench love? Our Mr Snuffles used to sit facing the wall if we went out and left him and he would sulk for hours. Holly just chews something LOL!!

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
If I eat his or hers first then mine last longer! Bunny wisdom shared.lol
Bubbles will do the same to Vernon and bless him he is eating slower than her. My solution two different feeding spots.
Bubbles on top of the roof of her hutch
And Vernon on the ground below in front of his hides.
Shame you can only be in one spot at the time bubbles says

When soundwave gets his fat bum stuck somewhere and I have to help him out,
And according to him it's all my fault he got stuck in the first place

Re: Possessive bunny lazy bunny
Ha ha Woodwench love, that is brilliant. I keep expecting to wake up with long ears and a bobtail. Mind you in my case it would only be an improvement Of course it is your fault Gemma love, our little angels can't be blamed for anything. I bet it is funny when he gets his bum stuck but of course he wouldn't think so.

You are right love, you would think he would remember getting stuck and avoid it. I try and convince myself that my bum is smaller than it is but it never works
