Killer Guinea Pigs
I've never heard of this before
Read George's story and tell me if you have heard of GP's killing rabbits.

Re: Killer Guinea Pigs
I have heard of this. Gp are very territorial that's why they don't make up good partners with bunnies plus they got different diet needs.
Not heard of killing bunnies but certainly fights.

Re: Killer Guinea Pigs
Suppose it depends on the circumstances and area they were kept in. I would imagine if it not big enough then they would fight until someone's snuffed out. Robins fight to the death too.
It the wee ones you have to watch.
He looks a fair size with killer gp eyes

Re: Killer Guinea Pigs
I've heard of fights and I know GPs, being rodents, can give a nasty nip, but that two of them could kill two rabbits.... it seems odd. I have heard of numerous cases of buns murdering GPs.

Re: Killer Guinea Pigs
That's whips gp should not be in a run with rabbits. Not the right species not the same food.woodwench wrote:I've heard of fights and I know GPs, being rodents, can give a nasty nip, but that two of them could kill two rabbits.... it seems odd. I have heard of numerous cases of buns murdering GPs.

Re: Killer Guinea Pigs
Yes, for sure. I've known that for years... it's getting it through to some folks is Impossible! I bet the folk at the Ark rescue had a few words with the people who brought those GP's in.
