Need advice Empty Need advice

Never thought I would be asking this..

So skywarp is an escaper which i can deal with but thundervracker has also decided to escape. The problem os the escape into each others pens. Which causes fights.
Thundercracker having no fur on his belly has been left with wee scratches on his belly( looks more grazes). Skywarps claws are really sharp so not sure if the damage is actually ment.
Got the escaping sorted out. Now it the thumping( they camt see each other) and thundercracker is getting really clingy.
I never thought i would think this but I am now on the verge of taking skywarp back for the sake of thundercracker.

She goes in to be neutured on the 28th.
Will she stop terrorising thundercracker and calm down?
Will he stop being clingy?
Will the peeing everywhere stop since she is supposed to be litter trained?

I know you know all this is down to that naughty three letter word S-E-X!
It's also spring and even neutered bucks ideas wander down lovers lane and having a beautiful lady amt hand is an extra turn on for him. A neutered buck will still perform the s-e-x act though not father kits ; the scent of Skywarp as go him going and the closeness of another rabbit as got her going. She will be confused by his scent which is not quite male enough. She wants a He-man buck and he's a disappointment so she is frustrated.

You brought her home too soon and now you could return her to the rescue until she is spayed and recovered from the op. While she's away clean her quarters thoroughly using a solution of white vinegar(a great scent killer). Then when she returns start all over again on the bonding process. It may work out fine but it might be now they have had this episode they may never bond. But having her spayed will eradicate the urgency of the s-e-x thing.
Leaving them as-is will probably making bonding harder and more likely impossible as the fighting will no doubt intensify.
If you return her, once her scent fades he will return to normal. Two or three weeks apart and then start again, that's what I would do if possible.
When she is spayed and s-e-x is no longer a major thing she will calm down and the litter training will return, though you may need to encourage her a little with that.

I agree with you Woodwench love, that is great advice. I think things will calm down after all the necessary has taken place and taking Skywalk back until she has been neutered is a good idea. That way neither bunny is stressed by the other and you can start from scratch. Please let us know what you decide love.

I dont have that option with the sspca,
I took the had decision to take her back when it comes to her not to be able have time out the pen as she instantly jumps into his and thundercracker hiding in the corner all the time.
That's not fair on either off them.
And when your wee fella has a belly is like this after an attack, I couldnt bare to see him loke that anymore.

I hope they spay her before letting her go again. It's very bad practice to home any entire animal and I'm disgusted the SSPCA do this.
So sorry you have had all this upset. Hope Thundercracker recovers soon and this won't affect him regarding a possible future bonding. Hugs Hugs

I had paid for herspay before hand and i had offered to keep the appointment for them so she will be spayed before going to a new home but the distance was too much for them.
She will be homed as the only rabbit due to behaviour.

After she was gone thundercracker even went outside by himself which he never done before confidence coming back stronger than ever xxx

I'm just catching up on this, sorry!

I have a lot of respect for the SSPCA but it boils my blood that they let rabbits go without neutering!

They handed me Molly and Junior and I can't remember them mentioning neutering!

I’m fairly sure they are the result of an incestuous relationship! Dave and Sasha looked so alike.

I never asked the SSPCA. I decided I’d rather not know Laughing

I am sure it happens quite a lot sweetie but I agree with you, I wouldn't want to know either. A women I know has a really intelligent bunny, she says she can see her working things out and then going for whatever it is she wishes to achieve.
